The Mid-Autumn Festival is a popular harvest festival that is celebrated annually by the Chinese around the world. In Singapore, the festival is usually celebrated with family and friends, enjoying mooncakes, pomelos, Chinese tea and children carrying lanterns. We are pleased to announce today the launch of “Knowing Singapore Programme” (KSP), jointly conducted by Migrant Workers Centre (MWC) and NTUC LearningHub (LHUB). About 120
foreign workers from the construction and hospitality sectors and residents of a
dormitory will be celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival together with mooncakes,
Chinese tea and listening to stories of the festival at TradeHub 21. The attendees
comprise Bangladeshi, Chinese and Indian nationals and the programme will be
conducted in Bengali, Mandarin and English languages.
