Terms and Conditions for Website and LHUB Services

These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) applies to all websites (“Sites”) operated by or for and on behalf of NTUC LearningHub Pte Ltd and its related companies (collectively, “LHUB” or “we”).
In addition, LHUB also provides our customers (“Customers” or “you”) with various products and services through our mobile applications (including NTUC LearningHub Learning eXperience Platform (LXP) and LXP Enterprise) (collectively, “LHUB Services”). Our provision and your use of LHUB Services are also subject to and governed by these T&Cs.

 

Acceptance of Terms

Please read these T&Cs carefully. By accessing any of the Sites and/or by using LHUB Services, you are deemed to have agreed to and accepted these T&Cs. If you do not agree to these T&Cs, please do not access the Sites nor use LHUB Services.

LHUB reserves the right to modify these T&Cs at any time at our sole discretion by posting the updated T&Cs on the Sites and LHUB Services or by sending registered Customers an email notice of the changes. All changes will take effect when published on the Sites or LHUB Services or when notified to you. If any change is unacceptable to you, you shall cease accessing or using the Sites and LHUB Services immediately. If you do not cease accessing or using the Sites and LHUB Services, your continued access to or use of the Sites and LHUB Services following any modification in these T&Cs will constitute your conclusive acceptance of the T&Cs as modified.

Use of LHUB Services

To purchase products and/or use services through LHUB Services, we may require that you first register an account with LHUB (“LHUB Account”). Registration for an LHUB Account will include an automatic participation into the Plus! Programme that allows you to earn LinkPoints. The Plus! Programme is managed by NTUC Link and participation is subject to and governed by the terms published by NTUC Link.

Registration must only be done by individuals who are at least 18 years of age; and are not barred from using LHUB Services under any applicable laws. By using LHUB Services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.

To register for an account, we may request for and you must provide certain personal details to us, including a valid mobile number and a unique email address. You will also be asked to choose and provide a password upon registration to secure your account. You represent and warrant that all details provided by you are true, accurate, current, and complete.

Alternatively, you may use your existing login information on your selected social network providers (currently Apple and/or Google) to register for an account. If you choose to register for an account in this manner, you acknowledge and agree to the sharing of your personal data from your social network provider to LHUB for the purpose of establishing an LHUB Account. For the avoidance of doubt, LHUB does not manage or monitor the collection of data by your social network provider. Any data provided to or collected by your social network provider is also subject to the terms and conditions of such provider.

You are responsible for: (i) maintaining the security and confidentiality of your LHUB Account and your account password; (ii) restricting access to your LHUB Account to only yourself and not allowing any third party to access your account; (iii) any purchases and activities that are submitted under your LHUB Account whether or not such purchases and activities are undertaken with your knowledge or authority; (iv) ensuring that all details provided during registration or any other time are correct and complete. Upon successful registration, you can update your particulars in the ‘My Profile’ page.

You agree to immediately notify LHUB if you are aware or have reason to suspect any unauthorised use of your password or LHUB Account or any other breach of security by contacting https://www.ntuclearninghub.com/enquiry-form/

We reserve the right to refuse, suspend or terminate the registration of any individual or corporate member and/or the use of any LHUB Services at any time in our sole discretion for any reason, including and not limited to the following:

  1. accounts of Customers that we suspect have been compromised or used in breach of these T&Cs; or
  2. any abuse or misuse of LHUB Services, including the registration of multiple accounts by a single customer.

You acknowledge and agree that LHUB may, to the extent permitted by applicable laws, access, preserve, and/or disclose your account information, all communications to and from you and all information relating to your use of LHUB Services as and when we consider necessary for any reason, including (i) identifying or resolving technical problems with your account; (ii) responding to your requests; (iii) verifying any suspected irregular transaction; (iv) if LHUB is required to do so by law or legal process; or (v) if LHUB determines, in its sole discretion, that such action is necessary to protect the rights of LHUB, third parties, and other users of LHUB Services.

You agree to comply with all instructions and guidelines that we may publish or issue with respect to and in order to access and use LHUB Services.

Data Policy

We collect personal data such as your name, contact information (e.g. mobile number and email address) and other information that may identify you or is personal to you, when you register an account, use LHUB Services or enter into transactions with us (or express interest in doing so). Personal data which you provide to us is subject to our Privacy Policy (available at https://www.ntuclearninghub.com/personal-data-and-privacy-statement/), which is incorporated by reference into these T&Cs. You consent to our Privacy Policy and our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

You acknowledge that any and all content associated with or published on the Sites and/or LHUB Services that we may make available to you (including domain names, information, data, software, photographs, graphics, typefaces, music, sounds, videos, podcasts and other material) (collectively, “Content”) and all proprietary and intellectual property rights associated therewith, whether registered or not, are protected by law and are owned by or licensed to us.

You may not modify, reproduce, copy or distribute any of our Content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. Nothing in this T&Cs shall be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license or right to use any of the Content without our prior written consent.

NTUC LearningHub Learning eXperience Platform (LXP) App and LXP Enterprise App

You are responsible for procuring the appropriate IT resources, including mobile device and connectivity, in order to support your access to and use of the NTUC LearningHub Learning eXperience Platform (LXP) App and/or LXP Enterprise App (collectively “LXP App”).

It is also your responsibility to take all necessary steps to ensure that your mobile device and access to the LXP App is secure. You should not remove any software restrictions and limitations imposed by the operating system of your mobile device (including unlocking, rooting, and/or jailbreaking your device) as that could make your mobile device vulnerable to malware, viruses and other malicious programs, and may also compromise your mobile device’s security features and the proper functioning of the LXP App.

Restrictions on use of the Sites and LHUB Services

You will access and use the Sites and LHUB Services only for non-commercial purposes. You will access and use the Sites and LHUB Services in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and these T&Cs. You acknowledge and agree that LHUB may at any time, in its sole discretion and without notice, reason or any obligation to you, temporarily or permanently, change, suspend or discontinue any Sites or LHUB Services, any of its Content, and/or access to part or all of it. You further agree that you will not use the Sites and/or LHUB Services for or in connection with any of the following:

  1. disseminate any unlawful, harassing, libelous, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material;
  2. transmit material that encourages conduct that constitutes a criminal offence or results in civil liability or otherwise breaches any relevant laws, regulations or code of practice;
  3. gain unauthorised access to other computer systems;
  4. interfere with any other person's access of use of the Sites and/or LHUB Services;
  5. interfere or disrupt networks or web sites connected to the Sites and/or LHUB Services;
  6. directly or indirectly access, store, upload, distribute or transmit any viruses, Trojan horses, worms, software bombs or any other malware, any malicious communications or anything offensive, defamatory, infringing of the rights of others or unlawful, or allow any other person to do so;
  7. make, transmit or store electronic copies of our Content without the prior written consent of LHUB;
  8. resell or make commercial use of the Sites, LHUB Services or any Content therein;
  9. modify, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works of, transfer, or sell any Content;
  10. collect or use any product listings or descriptions;
  11. use any data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction methods on the Sites and/or LHUB Services;
  12. other than for your use of the Sites and LHUB Services as expressly permitted in these T&Cs, access or attempt to access any systems or servers on which the Sites or LHUB Services are hosted, or modify or alter the Sites or LHUB Services in any way;
  13. forge headers, create a false identity or otherwise manipulate identifiers in order to deceive others or disguise the origin of any Content or other information transmitted from, to or via the Sites and/or LHUB Services;
  14. use, frame or utilize framing techniques to enclose any trademark, logo or other proprietary information (including the images found on the Sites and/or LHUB Services, the content of any text or the layout/design of any page or form contained on a page) without LHUB’s express written consent; or
  15. use any meta tags or any other “hidden text” utilizing a LHUB name, trademark, or product name without LHUB’s express written consent.

In the event of any non-compliance with these T&Cs, including any unauthorised use of the Sites and/or LHUB Services, we may without prejudice to other rights and remedies, immediately without notice, terminate, suspend, or restrict your access to part or all of the Sites and/or LHUB Services.

Availability of the Sites, LHUB Services and LHUB products

Whilst we endeavour to make access to the Sites and LHUB Services available, we do not guarantee any availability or service level with respect to the Sites and/or LHUB Services. The Sites and LHUB Services may with or without prior notice be unavailable, including when undergoing scheduled or unscheduled repairs, maintenance, or the introduction of new services. LHUB disclaims any and all liability for any unavailability, delay, malfunction, suspension or interruption of the Sites and/or LHUB Services, including inaccessibility due to network problems.

With respect to orders submitted for services and products through the Sites and/or LHUB Services, if a service or product becomes unavailable for whatever reason, LHUB reserves the right to remove the unavailable service or product and to process the other services and products that are available.

Apart from refunding any advance fees collected in respect of any unavailable service or product, LHUB shall not be liable to you or any other person for any loss, damage, or inconvenience suffered in respect of any unavailable service or product or any inability to fulfil any order.

Pricing and Product Information

Whilst we endeavour to do so, we provide no guarantee that the pricing, product description and/or promotional information provided through or on the Sites and/or LHUB Services will be accurate, current, updated, or complete. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you acknowledge and agree that:

  1. product pictures and information on the Sites and/or LHUB Services (if any) are provided for illustrative purposes only, and may not be an exact match or representative of the product and services provided; and
  2. the prices and pricing information on the Sites and/or LHUB Services may change and differ from time to time.

In the event of any price difference or error, caused by any reason including price changes, changes in regulatory funding policies, promotions, mislabelling, and/or mispricing, we reserve the right to adjust the prices and to issue further bills to you for payment, notwithstanding that a final bill or online bill has been presented to you, or if payment has already been collected from you.

Unless otherwise stated, all prices listed are in Singapore dollars.

Order Confirmation

It is your responsibility to review the details (including product selected, pricing, funding and applicable fees etc.) carefully before submitting an order. When you place an order, you agree to all amounts, service fees and other additional charges (if any) and the final ‘Total’ amount which is displayed at the checkout page. You will be deemed to be aware of, and you accept responsibility to pay all amounts incurred under your LHUB Account. All such amounts incurred are due immediately upon your submission of an order and are non-refundable.

Except for changes in schedule and/or contact details, LHUB reserves the right to reject any changes to an order once the order is processed. Changes in schedule and/or contact details, if permitted by LHUB, may be subject to payment of an administrative fee.

Order Cancellation, Refunds and Exchange

You may be entitled to cancel, refund and/or exchange any LHUB Services you have purchased, but only if provided for and in accordance with our Refund and Transfer Policy (located at https://www.ntuclearninghub.com/contact-us-2/faq/).

Certain LHUB Services may not be cancelled, refunded or exchanged, including all LHUBGo courses.

Payment

Payment information is transmitted through a secured payment channel. LHUB Services accepts payment by way of VISA, Mastercard™ and American Express debit and credit cards – with the added security of the respective 3D Secure services, Mastercard™ Identity Check™ (SecureCode™), Verified by Visa and SafeKey 2.0.

LHUB reserves the right to change the modes or methods of payment at any time.

You may select your preferred mode of payment. After a payment mode is selected and an order submitted, it may not be possible to change the selected payment mode.

Warranties and Disclaimers

The Sites and LHUB Services (including the respective Contents and any service or product provided therein) are provided on a "as is" and "as available" basis only. To the fullest extent permitted by law, in respect of the Sites, LHUB Services and the respective Contents and any service or product therein, LHUB expressly disclaims all warranties whether express, implied or arising from statute or otherwise in law, or from course of dealing or usage of trade, including but not limited to, any warranties:

  1. of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for any purpose, title or non-infringement;
  2. as to the accuracy, completeness, currency or reliability;
  3. as to the applicability or suitability;
  4. as to the security, authenticity, integrity or confidentiality of any transactions and other communications made through the Sites and/or LHUB services;
  5. that the Sites and/or LHUB services are free of viruses, trackers, bugs, worms, time bombs, trojan horses, trap doors or other codes designed to permit unauthorised access, to disable, modify, erase, damage, steal or usurp data or otherwise harm any data or computer system; and/or
  6. that the Sites and/or LHUB services will not harm any data or your computing system or devices.

No agent or representative of LHUB is authorized to make any warranty or representation in respect of given as to the fitness or suitability for any purpose, merchantability or otherwise of the services or product offered and/or supplied.

Limitation of Liability

You unreservedly acknowledge and agree that you assume all risk in connection with the access to and use of the Sites and/or LHUB Services, including its Contents and any service or product. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LHUB shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, punitive, loss of profits or revenue, or any other damages or loss however arising from such use of and access to the Sites and/or LHUB Services, and/or your visit or use of any third party site or app.

To the extent that LHUB is liable in contract, tort or otherwise for any loss, damage or injury arising directly or indirectly from the Sites and/or LHUB Services, including its Contents and any service or product therein or any other breach of LHUB's obligations hereunder, such liability shall not in any event exceed an amount equivalent to the price of the service or product giving rise to such liability.

You are responsible for evaluating and selecting the services and products relevant and appropriate to you. While the Sites and LHUB Services may make available general information on its service and products, LHUB is not providing any advisory service and it is your responsibility to assess the information and its applicability to you. All such information may also be subject to change for a variety of reasons including regulation updates and changes. LHUB reserves the right to change or update such information at any time without prior notice.

Third Party Sites, Apps & Contents

There may be occasions where content, information and materials on or of third parties are provided on or through the Sites and/or LHUB Services. LHUB is not responsible for the content and activities of any third party site, platform or application.

Your access to and/or use of any third party site, platform or application linked from the Sites and/or LHUB Services is entirely at your own risk. Your access to and/or use of such third party sites, platforms or applications may also be subject to such additional terms and conditions as may be imposed by the respective third parties for the use of their site, platforms, application and/or contents and materials.

 

LHUB's LXP Go and LXP+ Linkedin Learning packages are an examples where third party content, information and materials are provided through LHUB services. The additional terms and conditions imposed by our partners ,(a) Go1 and (b) Linkedin, may be located at   (i) https://www.go1.com/terms/customer-terms  and https://www.go1.com/terms/user-terms, and (ii)   https://www.linkedin.com/legal/user-agreement , respectively.

Promotions & Campaigns

LHUB may, from time to time, run promotions/contest/campaign (collectively “promotions”). We may impose terms and conditions relevant to each such promotion, in addition to the following terms. Your participation in such promotions are subject to your acceptance and compliance with all such terms and conditions.

Promotions shall be effective only for the applicable promotional period and on a “while stocks last” basis. LHUB reserves the right to modify, cancel or discontinue any promotion in its sole discretion for any reason at any time on the Sites and/or LHUB Services, without any notice to you.

Where any gift or services is offered as part of a promotion, the free gift or service is offered on a “first come first serve” and “while stocks last” basis. No cash or credit will be offered in lieu of any gift or service if for any reason such gift or service is unavailable.

We may from time to time issue promotion codes. The use of such codes is subject to the following:

  1. a promotional code may not be used in conjunction with any other available promotional codes. LHUB reserves the right to reject any order that uses two or more promotional codes;
  2. certain promotional codes are specific to selected category of products and services, and they can be applied only for the specified use according to the promotional code’s terms & conditions;
  3. before completing an order, you are responsible for ensuring that the relevant promotional code has been applied;
  4. no promotional code shall be transferable or exchangeable for cash or other goods and services;
  5. LHUB reserves the rights to vary/amend the privileges or terms and conditions of any promotions without prior notice; and
  6. in the event of suspected fraud or misuse of any promotional code, or breach of its qualifying terms or the terms and conditions of the promotion, LHUB reserves the right to reject or cancel the use of a promotional code. LHUB also reserves the right to charge you partially or in full the value of the benefit received using your order payment method, without further notice to you.

Where you are permitted to cancel or exchange any product or service for a refund/credit and such product was originally purchased under a promotion (including use of a promotional code), you will only be refunded the amount that you originally paid for such product or service. Where the promotion had applied to the entire order, we will refund you the selling price of the returned product or service less the promotion applied to the returned product on a pro-rata basis. Further, any free promotional gifts, vouchers, coupons, rewards and promotional accessories associated with the purchase of the returned product must also be returned.

LHUB reserves the right to change any terms of any promotion without prior notice and substitute any token or prize with one of a similar value. Any prizes received for participating in any promotions are strictly non-transferable and are not exchangeable for cash or credit.

LHUB shall not be liable for any damage or loss, including loss of chance arising from any defect, malfunction or failure of any telephone network / lines, computer systems, servers, computer equipment, software used in connection with any promotions.

Any decision by LHUB relating to promotions, use of promotional code and other vouchers, coupons, rewards or gifts is final and binding.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These T&Cs shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.

Any claim or disagreement arising out of or in connection with these T&Cs and/or use of or access to the Sites and/or LHUB Services (“Dispute”) shall be submitted for mediation at the Mediation Centre of the Consumer Association of Singapore (“CASE”) in accordance with CASE’s mediation procedure in force for the time being. Either party may submit a request to mediate to CASE upon which the other party will be bound to participate in the mediation within the time period prescribed by CASE. If the Dispute cannot be resolved at mediation, such Dispute shall be referred to and finally resolved through the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Singapore.

Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations under these T&Cs (including the performance of delivery of any service or produce) if the failure is due a Force Majeure Event. A “Force Majeure Event” shall be an event arising from causes beyond the control of LHUB, including but not limited to, acts of God or public enemies, acts of civil or military authority, labour disputes, fires, riots, wars or conditions of war, embargoes, accidents, pandemics, epidemics, floods or other unusually severe weather, closing or obstruction of highways, bridges or ferries, any of which have a material, substantial and adverse effect on LHUB’s ability to perform.

Miscellaneous

If any provision in these T&Cs is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent possible, and the other provisions contained herein will remain in full force and effect. These T&Cs constitute the entire agreement between us in relation to the subject matter herein and supersede any and all prior or contemporaneous written or oral agreements or representations. Our failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of these T&Cs shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. Our rights and remedies under these T&Cs are cumulative and not exclusive of any other right or remedy provided by law or equity. The headings used in these T&Cs are included for convenience only and will not limit or otherwise affect the interpretation of the provisions herein. You may not transfer or assign any of your rights or obligations. We may transfer or assign or novate any of our rights and obligations.

 

Terms and Conditions for LHUB Courses

  1. Trainee or sponsoring company hereby agrees that NTUC LearningHub Pte Ltd (“LHUB”) may collect, use, and disclose the trainee’s personal information in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and LHUB’s Privacy Policy as shown at https://www.ntuclearninghub.com/personal-data-privacy-statement/. Without prejudice to the generality of LHUB’s Privacy Policy, LHUB may collect, use, and disclose the trainee’s personal information for the following purposes:
    1. course registration;
    2. account servicing of course-related activities;
    3. course administration and course delivery;
    4. certification or accreditation;
    5. course survey; and/or
    6. Application of course-related funding (if applicable) to respective funding-related agencies/bodies/organisations (SSG, CPE, etc).
    7. marketing and promotion of products and services (trainee who opt in)
    Company represents and warrants that each trainee has consented to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information by and on behalf of LHUB in accordance.

  2. LHUB is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of the personal information and undertakes not to reveal applicant’s information to any third parties outside of LHUB and its affiliates and related bodies (other than regulating authorities, funding-related agencies and/or data intermediaries authorised by LHUB) and programme partners (including respective exam agencies of the programmes) without prior consent of the applicant.
      3. Course Registration and Course Fee
 
  1. Trainee must meet the minimum literacy and/or numeracy standard to be able to follow through and complete the course if there are no other specific pre-requisites.
  2. Trainee or the sponsoring company must select the correct and suitable language medium of the course (if applicable) during registration.
  3. If a trainee has any form of health issue, learning disability and/or any disability that may impact the normal delivery and facilitation of the course or the trainee's engagement in the learning process during the course , he/she MUST declare (in writing) and inform LHUB accordingly before signing this registration form
  4. All registrations are subject to a non-refundable registration fee of $15.00. (Inclusive of GST).
  5. The registration form and payment must be submitted to LHUB Branch / Sales centres, to sales personnel at least 2 weeks before course commencement.
  6. The course fees are subjected to Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the prevailing rate.
  7. Payment can be made as follows:
  • Self-sponsored trainee: cash, NETS, credit card, PayNow, cheque or SkillFuture credit is acceptable.
  • Company sponsored trainee: corporate credit card, corporate PayNow, Interbank GIRO, bank transfer or company cheque is acceptable.
  • Course fees must be fully paid by the sponsoring company from the sponsoring company’s corporate bank account.
  • The UEN provided must be the sponsoring employer who is (i) the direct employer of the trainee, and (ii) the party providing salary and other statutory benefits (such as CPF contribution, leave entitlement, etc).  The UEN will be used to verify the employment status of the trainee as part of the grant disbursement process.
  • Payment must be made upfront unless credit terms is given on a case-by-case basis.
  • For funded programmes, invoices must be fully paid within 60 days after course start date to facilitate funding claim submission. Otherwise, funding (if any) will not be available, and full course fees will be imposed.
  1. For cheque payment:
  • It shall be made payable to “NTUC LearningHub Pte Ltd”.
  • For company sponsored trainee, company can send or mail the cheque to NTUC LearningHub Pte Ltd – NTUC Trade Union House, and attention to the Finance Department or the Name of the Salesperson in charge.  Payment advice or invoice reference number is to be indicated.
  1. For credit card payment:
  • Company sponsored trainee is not allowed to use personal credit card to make payment for funded course (SSG, WSG, e2i, etc)
  1. Self-sponsored trainee can utilize SkillsFuture Credit to pay for selected courses (subjected to the availability of the credit in the trainee’s account)
      4. Course Schedule, Class Size and Mode of Delivery
 
  1. The course schedule is subject to confirmation and changes, LHUB reserves the rights to cancel, or re-schedule the class without prior notice
  2. LHUB reserves the rights to determine the size of each class, and the rights to replace trainers for scheduled classes and ongoing classes.
  3. LHUB reserves the rights to convert face-to-face classes to virtual classes or vice-versa, whether based on the guidelines issued by the relevant authorities or otherwise.  In such an event, trainee will be given an option to withdraw from the class without any penalty.
  4. LHUB reserves the rights to determine the format of course. material (e.g. hardcopy or electronic copy) to be provided. Any special request for a particular format or for a change of format or for a copy of the materials in the alternate format shall be subject to LHUB’s approval at its sole discretion.
  5. Trainee is to arrange his/her own laptop, desktop or other equipment, which meets the required hardware and software requirements, for the selected course and its mode of delivery.  LHUB will not be able to arrange or loan equipment to Trainee.
  6. Trainee shall not, without LHUB’s prior written consent, modify, reproduce, copy or distribute any of the content, information, data and/or materials made available to Trainee in connection with the course. This includes, without limitation, any learner’s guide, course syllabus and curriculum and course assessment questions and course assignments. 
       5.Funded Courses
 
  1. For all government funded courses, Trainee must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident to be eligible for the funding.
  2. For selected funded courses determined at LHUB’s sole discretion, a portion of the course fee shall be required to be paid upfront at the point of application.
  3. Trainees attending funded courses(SSG and IBF) must take their attendance digitally via the SingpassAppfor both physical classroom and synchronous e-learning courses.
  4. If a sponsoring company wishes to apply for Absentee Payroll subsidies, the company must submit Absentee Payroll Declaration with the required information in the Enterprise Portal for Jobs and Skills (EPJS) upon receiving SSG’s email.
  5. If a trainee does not meet minimum attendance requirement (if any), he/she is required to retake the entire module.  All retake modules must be completed within 60 calendar days from the end date of the initial course or module that such trainee was enrolled in.  If a trainee missed a particular class and requested for a make-up class, the provision of any make-up class will be at LHUB’s sole discretion, subject to availability of resources and the trainee’s payment of an administrative fee of $15.00 (inclusive of GST)
  6. If a trainee were to be fully absent from a course or assessment, he/she is required to re-enrol for the course or assessment within 60 calendar days from the end date of the initial course or assessment that such trainee was enrolled in.  Such trainee must pay for the stated/subsidised course fees and administrative charge applicable.
  7. In the event a trainee fails to meet any of the funding requirements set out under the relevant funding scheme, thereby resulting in the funding claim application being rejected by the respective funding agency, LHUB shall, subject to any funding restrictions, be entitled to claim from the trainee the balance of the course fee (being such amount equivalent to the funding subsidy amount that was not granted by the respective funding agency).  A funding claim application may, amongst other reasons, be rejected in the following scenarios:
  • Trainee was previously granted funding subsidy for the same course (either with LHUB or with other training provider(s)).
  • Trainee fails to achieve the minimum attendance rate required for the course.
  • Trainee fails to sit for the required examination/ assessment (where applicable).
  • Trainee fails to obtain a passing grade for the required examination/assessment (where applicable).
  • IBF Funding
  • Trainee is not working in finance sector (selected courses).
  • Trainee is not residing in Singapore during the course.
  • Trainee fails to achieve 100% attendance and fails to achieve a 70% to 75% passing rate (based on the course requirements). 
       6. Absent and Request of Deferment / Transfer / Replacement / Withdrawal of Course
 
  1. For any trainee who is absent with valid reasons (e.g. medical reasons), make-up classes may be provided at LHUB’s sole discretion and subject to the availability of resources.
  2. For deferment, transfer or withdrawal of a confirmed place in a course, a written request must be submitted and received by LHUB at least 2 weeks before commencement of the course.
  3. For any replacement of a trainee attending a corporate courses, a written notice, together with the full particulars of the new participant, must be submitted and received by LHUB 2 weeks before the course commences.
  4. All requests will be subjected for LHUB's approval. The following administrative fee (inclusive of GST) will be imposed for all approved deferments, refunds, withdrawals and/or transfers:
  • $55.00 for Diploma course and / or higher
  • $15.00 for all courses
        7.Virtual Live Class (VLC)
 
  1. Trainee must ensure that his/her laptop/desktop or equipment is equipped with webcam and meet the required specifications.
  2. Trainee must set up his/her login/display name to be the same as the full name as indicated in his/her identity card, identification document or passport.
  3. Trainee must turn on his/her webcam to show real-time video of his/her participation throughout the entire course and shall ensure that his/her entire face is fully visible at all times.
  4. Trainee must not use a profile picture or pre-recorded video to meet the attendance requirements.
        8. Workplace Safety & Health Course
 
  1. Every trainee must bring along a copy of the payment receipt and his/her identity card, identification document or passport when attending the course.
  2. Trainees who are work permit holders or employment pass holders must bring along a copy of each of his/her passport and work permit or employment pass.
  3. trainee who passes the assessment must collect his/her certificate/safety pass within 6 months after receiving the notification for collection.  For any certificate/safety pass not collected after 6 months, LHUB shall be entitled to discard/destroy such certificate/safety pass without prior or further notice.
       9. Course Evaluation and Survey
 
  1. LHUB Course evaluation will be conducted on the last day of the course.
  2. SSG Training Quality and Outcomes Measurement survey (TRAQOM) will be conducted upon completion of the SSG course.  Trainee must provide his/her personal email address and phone number for these surveys.  An email invitation will be sent to the trainee with a hyperlink to access the respective TRAQOM (i) on the last day of the course, and (ii) at least 6 months after the course end date.
  3. For selected courses, the first survey will be conducted 3 months after course completion.  Next survey will be conducted 6 months after course completion.
  4. As part of LHUB’s quality improvement measures, service follow-up surveys may also be conducted after a reasonable interval upon course completion.
       10. Exam and Assessment
 
  1. For courses that require examination(s) and/or assessment(s), the trainee must be punctual on the day of examination/assessment.  Latecomers will be barred from taking the examination/assessment.
  2. All trainees must comply with the applicable examination or assessment rules and regulations. Any trainee found cheating will be barred from the examination or assessment, and LHUB reserves the rights to take necessary actions.
  3. If the trainee fails the examination or assessment and wishes to appeal against the examination or assessment grade, he/she should submit the relevant appeal. form and make necessary payment before the applicable appeal submission deadline.
        11. External Certification Examination
 
  1. Course fee is not inclusive of external certification examination fee, unless otherwise it is stated in the course information.
  2. Selected courses come bundled with complimentary certification examination voucher.  Trainee must achieve minimum attendance requirement and pass the in-class assessment, in order to be eligible for the complimentary examination voucher.
  3. If a trainee fails the certification examination in the first attempt, the cost of subsequent exam attempts is borne by him/her.
  4. If the trainee requests to reschedule external certification examination date, an administrative fee will be charged for each change request.
  5. LHUB will not provide extension to expired examination vouchers or replace expired voucher with a new voucher.
  6. If the certification provider discontinues the certification examination, LHUB will not replace the discontinued examination with an alternative examination voucher..
        12. LHUB Certificate of Completion (COC) and WSQ Electronic Certificate (e-Cert)
 
  1. LHUB will only issue certifications for certain courses as LHUB may determine in its sole discretion.  For courses that come with LHUB Certificate of Completion and/or WSQ e-Cert, LHUB will issue such certificate(s) to trainees who meet the relevant certification requirements (e.g. trainee satisfies the minimum attendance requirement and/or passes the required examination/assessment).
  2. For certain specified courses, trainees may access / download SSG full qualifications & transcripts and/or WSQ e-Certs from MySkillsFuture online portal 16 working days after the course end date.
  3. Trainee’s employer can verify the authenticity of the certificates issued by SSG at MySkillsFuture online portal (http://www.myskillsfuture.gov.sg).
       13. Skills Ethical Hacking and Cybersecurity Courses
 
  1. For Skills Ethical Hacking and Cybersecurity related courses, the trainee understands and agrees that live demonstrations on threats to cybersecurity may be conducted during such courses.  No skills and know-how pertaining to these demonstrations (“Technical Skills”) will be intentionally taught to the trainees.  By registering for such courses, the trainee undertakes not to use, in any circumstance (unless otherwise permitted by law) any Technical Skills which may be indirectly taught during the course.
  2. Trainee further undertakes to fully indemnify and hold LHUB and its directors, officers, agents, representatives, employees and contractors (collectively, “Indemnitees”) harmless from and against any and all damages, losses, liabilities, claims, disputes, judgments, settlements, costs and expenses of any nature whatsoever (including fees and disbursements of attorneys, accountants and other professional advisors) resulting from or arising out of the trainee’s unauthorised use of the Technical Skills. The trainee further undertakes not to bring a claim against the Indemnitees for any damages, losses, liabilities and/or causes of action resulting from or arising out of such unauthorised use.
  3. This provision shall ensure for a period of 6 years from the conclusion of the course.
      14. Conduct and Behaviour
 
  1. All Trainees are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with LHUB’s values and applicable policies when attending any course delivered or conducted by or for and on behalf of LHUB. Amongst other, a Trainee shall not engage in inappropriate language or conduct whilst attending such a course, whether such language or conduct is directed towards LHUB’s employees or representatives, fellow Trainees or otherwise
  2. A Trainee may be excluded from, and/or asked to leave, the relevant class or course without any refund of the course fees if, in the sole opinion of LHUB, the Trainee’s conduct or behaviour has been inappropriate. In all cases concerning the appropriateness of a Trainee’s conduct or behaviour, the decision of LHUB shall be final.
