Kwek Kok Kwong
Chief Executive Officer
Kwek Kok Kwong is the Chief Executive Officer of NTUC LearningHub (LHUB®) and is concurrently the Deputy CEO at NTUC First Campus. He recently retired as a Brigadier General on 31 July 2012 after serving with distinction in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) for 27 years.
During his career in the SAF, Mr Kwek held various key command and staff appointments. In his last appointment, Mr Kwek served as the Commander of the Air Defence and Operations Command (ADOC) where he managed current and contingency air operations and grew the 3rd Generation Air Defence system in the SAF. In addition to his military appointments, Kok Kwong had held directorship appointments on the Boards of ST Aerospace Engines Pte Ltd, and ST Electronics (Info-Comm Systems) Pte Ltd.
Kok Kwong graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Arts and Social Sciences) (Second Class Honours) from the University of Cambridge in 1989 and a Master of Arts (Arts and Social Sciences) from the same university in 1993.
In 2001, he was awarded a scholarship to study at Harvard University where he graduated with a Master in Public Administration in 2002 and was awarded the Lucius N. Littauer Fellow award for his performance.
Tan Wee Pin
Chief Operating Officer
Wee Pin brings leadership and business expertise as the Chief Operating Officer of NTUC LearningHub (LHUB®). He is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operations of the company.
With over 22 years of experience in the IT industry, Wee Pin has held senior management positions in various Fortune 500 companies such as IBM, Oracle, Fuji Xerox, Sun Microsystems, etc. Prior to joining LHUB® , Wee Pin served as the Regional Vice President for Platform Products Group at Fujitsu Asia Pte Ltd, where he was responsible for the Fujitsu enterprise products and software in South East Asia countries. During his tenure at Fujitsu, he managed the partner eco-systems and distribution networks, channel sales team, Go-to-Market’s strategies for server, storage, cloud computing software and imaging solution products.
He was a Channel Director for InfoPrint Solution Company (a Ricoh & IBM joint venture company), in charge of its operations in the Asia Pacific region across 13 countries – Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, China, Hong Kong & Taiwan. His responsibilities involved setting strategies for all business partners & channels operations, Supplies & Consumables business, and InfoPrint.com (Tele-marketing operation of InfoPrint). He also served concurrently as a General Manager for ASEAN operations.
Wee Pin holds an MBA from Golden Gate University and BSc (First Class Honours) from Loughborough University, UK. He is the Honorary Treasurer for Jurong Country Club and also the Treasurer for PAP Community Foundation Kampong Chai Chee Branch.
Senior Director - Finance
Terence is responsible for the overall finance control of LHUB®. His primary responsibilities involve managing the Financial risks and planning, as well as financial reporting of performance and forecast to our Board of Directors.
He has 16 years of experience in regional financial management across various industries such as the logistics, manufacturing and IT. He had work in China for four years with JDEdwards. In his most recent position, Terence was with Keppel Logistics as a Financial Controller covering various Asian countries in areas of controllership, enterprise risk management, financial due diligence and Merger & Acquisition. He was in the board of director for two of the subsidiaries, Transware Distribution and Keppel Logistics Malaysia.
Terence received a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University and his MBA from Calstate University, Hayward.
Senior Director - Operations
Richard is responsible for leading the quality and excellence initiatives, and improving the business processes and operational efficiency of the organisation.
With over 20 years of experience in general management and manufacturing, Richard has held senior management positions in various public-listed organisations, managing entire plants and operations located both locally and in the region, and actively leading many business improvement and quality initiatives.
He holds an MBA from Nanyang Technological University (Strategic Management), a Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Marketing Institute of Singapore, an MSc in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the National University of Singapore and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sheffield.
Senior Director - Trades
Bryan is the Senior Director of Trades Campus in LHUB®. As head of the largest campus in LHUB®, he is responsible for managing the trades training business that equip workers of all levels with practical skills required in the areas of Workplace Safety and Health, Heavy industries, Security, Cleaning and Manufacturing.
With more than fifteen years of sales, business development and P & L management experience in various industries like telecommunication, IT, transport and training, Bryan has held key management positions in various dynamic organisations. Prior to joining LHUB®, Bryan took on the role of General Manager for a transport company on a 12 years loss making streak and was instrumental in turning the company around to become profitable.
Bryan holds a B.Eng (Hon) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Loughborough University, UK and a MBA from Imperial College, UK.
Director – Business Development and Incubation
As Director, Business Development and Incubation, Dayne is responsible for catalysing and spearheading business development and business incubation initiatives, locally and internationally, that are consistent with the sustainable growth strategies of NTUC LearningHub (LHUB®) and befitting Singapore's workforce development goals. He also oversees LHUB's corporate marketing and business planning functions in his designation.
Prior to joining LHUB®, Dayne was concurrently the Director of Product Development and Director of International Promotions with the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority between 2007-2012. Based in the United Arab Emirates, Dayne played a leadership role in the inception of the Authority as well as in the pioneering growth stages of Abu Dhabi's tourism industry. During his tenure, Dayne contributed towards Abu Dhabi's tourism masterplan development, development of signature products and events, and establishment of ten international offices spanning Asia-Pacific, Europe, USA and intra-Middle East.
Prior to his stint in Abu Dhabi, Dayne was with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) for 12 years between 1995-2007, undertaking a variety of core leadership roles including Co-ordinating Regional Director (International Group), Director of Leisure Cluster Development, Regional Director (ASEAN), Regional Director (South Asia and Middle East), and Director Sightseeing & Attractions. Under his charge, Dayne contributed towards the manifestation of new tourism icons such as the Singapore Flyer and Marina South Cruise Terminal, revitalisation of Singapore’s thematic/ethnic districts, and enhancement of Singapore’s destination marketing network through establishing international offices in ASEAN, India and Middle East.
Dayne was awarded the prestigious Singapore Tourism Board Overseas Undergraduate Scholarship through which he graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Travel Industry Management) (Honors) from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. He received the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) from the Government of Singapore in 2005 for his overall contributions to the tourism economy.
Sivakami D/O Gopalakrishnan
Director – Next U & Employability Campus
Sivakami is the Director of Next U® – the executive education arm of NTUC LearningHub as well as Director of Employability Campus in LHUB®. The Employability Campus complements the work of the Labour Movement in helping workers gain work and life skills that transform their lives, helping them to remain employable, and to grow and improve themselves through lifelong learning.
She started her career in LHUB since its incorporation as a Curriculum Manager before moving on to sales. In the last 7 years, Sivakami was able to be part of and managing the various sales teams in LHUB. In her last role as the Assistant Director of Sales, she had the opportunity to work with the full spectrum of customers that LHUB served – individuals, unions, labour intermediaries and corporate organisations.
Prior to joining LHUB, Sivakami spent 3 years in NTUC Administration and Research Unit (ARU) Skills Development Department. She was involved in curriculum development and the running of the IT Training Centre.
Sivakami holds a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science & English Language) from National University of Singapore.
