Mr Theeban, who is 25 years old this year, loves learning. Currently, he is taking up the Workplace Safety and Health and Security courses with NTUC LearningHub (LHUB).

What led him to take up two different courses? “Passion in learning and open myself to more career opportunities,” replied Theeban with a smile.

After completing the WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH course, Theeban worked as a Safety Coordinator for a year in the construction industry. He felt the need to upgrade further and decided to sign up the WSQ Specialist Diploma in WSH course. At the same time, he also felt the need to have a second skill and hence signed up for the Security courses too.

“I want to equip myself with skills from both areas, and open myself to more career opportunities. Security industry is also booming and I hope to explore a possible career in it,” said Theeban. To gain more exposure and experience, he works as a part-time security officer too. “Learning has no boundaries, and I want to expose myself to more areas. It is important to equip yourselves with more skills in this competitive age, and I will continue to learn as much as I can. I am happy to take up these courses from LHUB. The lessons were interesting and engaging, and the trainers were very knowledgeable in the subject. I had gained a lot of useful insights and I will definitely recommend my peers to constantly upgrade too.”
