Who Should Attend

This course is for you if you are involved in the supervision, assessment or management of work at height activities.

Course Overview

This course has been designed to meet the minimum standard for working-at-height Training for Supervisors, Assessors or Managers in Singapore, as recommended in the WSH (Work at Heights) Regulations 2013 and the Approved Code of Practice for Working Safely at Height (2011).

Course Objectives

  • Identify, explain and apply the relevant Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Legislation/Approved Code of Practice/Singapore Standards applicable to work at height
  • Identify and explain the Roles & Responsibilities of stakeholders, competent and responsible persons.
  • Identify hazards, evaluate the risk, and implement control measures for WAH activities
  • Review the necessary fall preventive / protective control measures for safe execution of WAH activities
  • Establish, evaluate, review and implement a Fall Prevention Plan
  • Establish and implement a system for effective monitoring and control of WAH risks
  • Don, check and correct Individual Fall Protection Equipment and respond to a fall emergency

Pre-requisites

You should have at least WSQ ESS Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Level 4 and above or equivalent to carry out hazards identification, risk assessment, and risk control measures.

Certificate Obtained and Conferred by

Results will be released 10 working days after course ends. Upon completion of the course and passing the examination, an
e-Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and a Safety Pass from NTUC LearningHub will be awarded to you.

Funding Eligibility Criteria:

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • From 1 October 2023, attendance-taking for SkillsFuture Singapore's (SSG) funded courses must be done digitally via the Singpass App. This applies to both physical and synchronous e-learning courses

  • Trainee must achieve at least 75% attendance
  • Trainee must pass all prescribed tests / assessments, and attain 100% competency
  • NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not meet the eligibility criteria
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents

SkillsFuture Credit: 

  • Eligible Singapore Citizens can use their SkillsFuture Credit to offset course fee payable after funding.

UTAP: 

  • This course is eligible for Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP).
  • NTUC members can enjoy up to 50% funding (capped at $250 per year) under UTAP. 

Absentee Payroll (AP) Funding: 

  • $4.50 per hour, capped at $100,000 per enterprise per calendar year.
  • AP funding will be computed based on the actual number of training hours attended by the trainee.
  • Note: Courses / Modules under Professional Conversion Programme (PCP) will not be eligible for AP funding claim.
