Pre-requisites

Learners must be able to:

  • Listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills Workforce skills Qualifications (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 6
  • Read and Write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the ES WSQ WPL Level 6
  • Manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES WSQ Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 6
  • Have at least 3 years of working experience in Professionals, Managers & Executives (PMEs) role
  • Hardware & Software
    This course will be conducted as a Virtual Live Class (VLC) via Zoom platform. Participants must own a zoom account and have a laptop or a desktop with “Zoom Client for Meetings” installed. This can be downloaded from

    Using a dual monitor setup will undoubtedly improve your training experience, enabling you to simultaneously participate in hands-on exercises and maintain engagement with your instructor.

Not Recommended:

Using tablets is not recommended due to their smaller screen size, which could cause eye strain and discomfort over the course of the program's duration.

Course Outline

1.  Building Up Team Value through Team Negotiation and Conflict Resolution 

The topics include:

  • Common barriers to developing a diverse and cooperative workplace
  • Identify sources of conflict and negotiate issues to reach mutually acceptable outcomes
  • Review the effectiveness of the conflict resolution strategies and take action to prevent the recurrence of conflict
  • Adjust interpersonal style and respond appropriately to emotional cues when interacting with others to meet the requirements of the social and cultural business context

2.  Increase Diversity and Strength of Teams Based on the Indisputable Laws of Teamwork 

The topics include:

  • Workforce characteristics and trends
  • Facilitate information exchange among network members to support organisational and team priorities
  • Develop and monitor the implementation of systems and processes to support organisational diversity strategies
  • Keep abreast of organisational diversity management systems and processes by subscribing to diverse learning channels to enhance own knowledge for workplace application

3.  Moulding Team Disciplines with Value-based Work Environment and Collaboration

The topics include:

  • Legal and ethical considerations relating to participation in internal and external networking opportunities, conflict management and workplace diversity
  • Organisational policies and procedures relating to business networking, organisational diversity and conflict management
  • Relevant professional or industry codes of practice and standards relating to business networking
  • Implications and impact of networking and collaboration opportunities on employees and the organisation
  • Relevant local, regional and international networks
  • Establish working relationships with network members to improve knowledge sharing and networking opportunities
  • Pursue collaborative opportunities to support beneficial outcomes

Besides flavouring the course with useful anecdotes and quotations from John Maxwell, the critical values and emphasis on transforming self and team will also be incorporated into this course.

Certificate Obtained and Conferred by

Participants who have successfully demonstrated competence in all the knowledge and skills requirements in this programme will be awarded a Statement of Attainment (SOA) by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). This programme is offered on a modular basis only.
