Singapore’s Demand For Cloud

Based on findings from a pilot study conducted on the ICT sector by the National Trades Union Congress’s (NTUC) Future Jobs, Skills and Training (FJST) unit in 2017, cloud computing was identified as one of the key technologies to watch as it would transform the digital landscape across sectors. Through the study, some 30 participating employers also shared that cloud computing and solution development skills were emerging in-demand skills in the ICT sector.

To help address this demand for cloud computing and solution development skills in the market, NTUC LearningHub has worked with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and NTUC’s e2i (Employment and Employability Institute) to raise the cloud computing literacy among working Singaporean adults, build competencies among those who require deeper cloud-related knowledge and skills, and enable Singaporean ICT professionals to acquire new and relevant certifications that enable them to be future ready for jobs that increasingly require cloud computing literacy and expertise.
