In an online setting, you will need to interact with followers and fans on social media platforms, organise, engage and keep them updated. You will also need to curate and come up with content and campaigns.

Offline, your job scope may involve forming partnerships, working with volunteers, organising outreach events and fundraisers and hosting meetings and forums with relevant parties.

As a community and partnership specialist, you will need to have

  • Up-to-date knowledge and proficient skills in digital technology and social media
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills as a large part of the job will require you to communicate with many different stakeholders. You will need to be an excellent people’s person with an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude
  • A Service-oriented attitude. You will need to be able to work with people of different backgrounds and hence, it is key that you are patient and display positive attitudes and behaviours towards helping others and meeting their expectations.
  • A Team player mindset. You will need to be reliable and responsible, show support and always be ready to help.
  • Strong writing and Story-telling skills
Programme Pre-requisites
  • Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 21 and above, who are currently unemployed but are looking for career conversion
  • Minimum 2 years work experience
  • Committed to complete the programme
Competencies required:

Functional/Technical Competencies

  • Minimum Educational Qualification – at least Polytechnic Diploma
  • Be able to speak, listen, read and write English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 6 or GCE O Level English Grade 1-6
  • Achieve a Numeracy proficiency level no lower than the ES WSQ Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 5 or GCE O Level Mathematics (Elementary/Additional) Grade 1-6
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools
  • Committed to complete the programme

Generic Competencies (Behavioural skills)

  • Experience in good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in design, marketing and communications roles.

Student Schedule
