Course Overview

To help the organisation to establish and monitor indicators measuring the effectiveness of the Workplace Safety and Health WSH policy and work procedures in preventing incidents and safeguarding employees in environmental services industry operations

Course Objectives

  • Able to comply with policy and procedures for all the routine and non-routine in the environmental services industry
  • Able to support in conducting compliance WSH inspections within the work area to
  • identify hazards, risks, non-compliances, unsafe work conditions and unsafe work practice
  • Able to conduct gap analysis and suggest appropriate corrective actions and preventive actions (CAPA)

Pre-requisites

Trainees to be:

  • Familiar with company’s workplace processes, procedures, activities and practices
  • Perform simple calculations in order to make relevant WSH inspections
  • Communicate information to the stakeholders

Course Outline

  • Adhere to WSH policy and procedures
  • Assist in the conduct of compliance inspections within work area
  • Identify non-compliances, unsafe work conditions and practices
  • Monitor and review the effectiveness of the implemented control measures
  • Identify gaps in the existing control measures and re-port to management for appropriate corrective actions and preventive actions A6. Communicate the risks and control measures to the relevant stake-holders

Funding Eligibility Criteria:

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • From 1 October 2023, attendance-taking for SkillsFuture Singapore's (SSG) funded courses must be done digitally via the Singpass App. This applies to both physical and synchronous e-learning courses

  • Trainee must achieve at least 75% attendance
  • Trainee must pass all prescribed tests / assessments, and attain 100% competency
  • NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not meet the eligibility criteria
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents

  • Eligible Singapore Citizens can use their SkillsFuture Credit to offset course fee payable after funding.

UTAP: 

  • This course is eligible for Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP).
  • NTUC members can enjoy up to 50% funding (capped at $250 per year) under UTAP.
