This course has been specifically designed for learners in executive or supervisory roles. The course content and examples are generic and is suitable for learners from any sector.

Course Overview

Effectiveness Management L3 (Communicate and Relate Effectively at the Workplace) will provide an overview on the importance of aligning organization policies and procedures and to create awareness of effective communication and its barriers. It covers the effective use of communication techniques in work settings, apply communication techniques to address the barriers and conflicts in the communication. Learners will also learn about the negotiation skills, delegation of work to the team and provide guidance and opportunities for team to contribute ideas in relation to organisation objectives. It also covers the implementation plan and evaluation process on the effectiveness of implemented solution.

Course Objectives

Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:

Pre-requisites

The admission requirements are:

  • No prior experience or knowledge required
  • Min 18 years old
  • Primary school level onwards
  • Be able to speak, listen, read and write English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 4

Course Outline

LU 1: Effective Communication and Information Management in the Organization

  • Analyse information received and align with organizational policies and procedures to communicate at all levels within the organization
  • Communicate and respond to information received considering the background of individual role and recipient of information

LU 2: Effective Communication Techniques for Workplace Situations

  • Use appropriate communication techniques to clarify and respond to workplace situations

LU 3: Effective Communication and Plan Implementation

  • Apply communication plan that improve the effectiveness of implementation plans
  • Address the barriers to communication and work with team to achieve organizational objectives

LU 4: Evaluating Team Performance and Improving Plan Effectiveness

  • Evaluate and communicate team performance and recommend solution for improved effectiveness of plan

Certificate Obtained and Conferred by

Upon meeting the attendance and assessment(s) criteria, participants will be awarded with a digital Statement of Attainment (SOA), accredited by SkillsFuture Singapore. SOA will be reflected as [code name i.e., FSS-PDV-3002-1.1 Effectiveness Management L3].

Funding Eligibility Criteria:

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • From 1 October 2023, attendance-taking for SkillsFuture Singapore's (SSG) funded courses must be done digitally via the Singpass App. This applies to both physical and synchronous e-learning courses

  • Trainee must achieve at least 75% attendance
  • Trainee must pass all prescribed tests / assessments, and attain 100% competency
  • NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not meet the eligibility criteria
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
