Apply Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) in Process Plant is one of the core units in all process sectors of the Process Industry.

Pre-requisites

  • You should be able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills System (ESS) Level 2.
  • You should be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ESS Level 2.

Course Outline

You will learn to:

  • Identify the roles and responsibilities of an employee under the WSH act
  • Identify and prevent fire and explosion hazards at the workplace
  • Comply with safe work practices and control measures for material handling
  • Comply with safe work practices and control measures for mechanical and electrical works
  • Comply with safe work practices and control measures when working on Specialised Operations
  • Comply with safe work practices and control measures when working at heights
  • Comply with safe work practices and control measures when working in a confined space

Certificate Obtained and Conferred by

  • Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and Safety Pass from NTUC LearningHub (3 years validity).
  • Certificate of completion from NTUC LearningHub

Upon meeting at least 100% attendance and passing the assessment(s), participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub.

Funding Eligibility Criteria:

Company Sponsored Trainee

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • From 1 October 2023, attendance-taking for SkillsFuture Singapore's (SSG) funded courses must be done digitally via the Singpass App. This applies to both physical and synchronous e-learning courses

  • Trainee must pass all prescribed tests / assessments, and attain 100% competency
  • NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not meet the eligibility criteria
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents

SkillsFuture Credit: 

  • Eligible Singapore Citizens can use their SkillsFuture Credit to offset course fee payable after funding.

UTAP: 

  • This course is eligible for Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP).
  • NTUC members can enjoy up to 50% funding (capped at $250 per year) under UTAP.
