At the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Identify common robotics and automated technologies used in environmental services
  • Apply common best practices related to the use of robotics and automation at work
  • Operate automated technologies and robotics for cleaning tasks, in accordance with organisational procedures and safe system of work
  • Identified issues and make recommendations for improvements, in accordance with organisational procedures

  1. Robotics and automation applications in environmental services

Learn about different types of robotics and automated technologies that are commonly used in environmental services.

  1. Automated cleaning robots

Learn about the use of commercial machines that they will be working with on the job. They will have a chance at having hands-on practice with a cleaning machine, which includes the handling, components, mapping of sites, troubleshooting and maintenance.

  1. Smart toilets

Smart toilets is a cleanliness management solution that uses the Internet of Things and sensors to remotely monitor the cleanliness of restrooms.

  1. Cleaning management mobile application

Learn how to use a mobile application to improve cleaning management tasks. Key features include audits and inspections, ordering of supplies, feedback and surveys, and deliberate communications. With mobile-technology, cleaning operations and standards can be improved through the increased standardisation of documentation and speed of communications.
