Course Overview

This course is targeted at individuals with vested interest in learning about emerging technologies and how they can appropriately apply them in their workplace. It can benefit participants working in organisations undergoing digitalisation such as in small-medium enterprise from various sectors. Anyone interested in innovation management, as enabled by digitalisation, may also gain from entering the course.

It is designed to equip participants with the functional knowledge of the types of business processes that can be made efficient using current and emerging technologies. At the highest level, they will learn about macro technology trends that affect their industries, and also the type of technology toolboxes that exist.

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  2. Research, summarize, and present trends that will have an effect on the business or industry.
  3. Investigate the possible uses of software and/or hardware in the business environment.

Pre-requisites

Prior to attending this course, trainees should be able to:

  1. Read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ES WS level 4
  2. Communicate information effectively and work in a team
  3. Plan and organise resources and activities to complete work activities within timeframes
  4. Possess basic knowledge of computers and Excel

  • Put forth recommendations that offer process improvements

Certificate Obtained and Conferred by

SSGs Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be awarded to learners who have achieved 75% attendance and are Competent (PASS) in their assessment.

Funding Eligibility Criteria:

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Trainee must achieve at least 75% attendance
  • Trainee must pass all prescribed tests / assessments, and attain 100% competency
  • NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not meet the eligibility criteria

SkillsFuture Credit:

  • Eligible Singapore Citizens can use their SkillsFuture Credit to offset course fee payable after funding

 

PSEA:

  • Eligible Singapore Citizens can use their Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) funds to offset course fee payable after funding

 

UTAP:

  • NTUC Members can enjoy up to 50% funding (capped at $250 per year) under Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP)

Absentee Payroll (AP) Funding:

  • $4.50 per hour, capped at $100,000 per enterprise per calendar year
  • AP funding will be computed based on the actual number of training hours attended by the trainee
  • Note: Courses / Modules under Professional Conversion Programme (PCP) will not be eligible for AP funding claim.
