One of the common biggest challenges for continuous improvement in an organisation is overcoming resistance to change.

This programme provide learners with the knowledge and skills to approach, understand and apply lean transformation process systematically. It will equip participants with the tools to map the transformation for a system wide approach for developing and implementing continuous improvement project plans.

Course Objectives

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the purpose of organisational continuous improvement and identify the types of continuous improvement process techniques available.
  • Describe the concepts and methods of continuous improvement process and list the procedures for making action plans.
  • Identify, implement, monitor and review continuous improvement plans.
  • Track and measure progress of continuous improvement activities
  • Take corrective action against issues that arise during implementation
  • Follow-through the continuous improvement activities and take appropriate corrective actions on any non-conformance
  • Report and record the outcomes of continuous improvement activities

Pre-requisites

Participants should be able to speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5.

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • From 1 October 2023, attendance-taking for SkillsFuture Singapore's (SSG) funded courses must be done digitally via the Singpass App. This applies to both physical and synchronous e-learning courses

  • Trainee must pass all prescribed tests / assessments, and attain 100% competency
  • NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not meet the eligibility criteria
