Course Overview

Design Thinking integrates the needs of people, the possibilities of technology, and the requirements for business success. It focuses on taking action to quickly build, test and refine ideas for digital transformation.

This program focuses on helping participants to facilitate and guide stakeholders to apply design thinking methodologies in an increasingly digital world. It addresses the obstacles and hindrances to implementing design thinking for the organisation and explore the potential of Design Thinking in collaboration with other tools and methodologies.

  1. Communicate to team members the principles and concepts of innovation, creativity, and design thinking processes
  2. Engage stakeholders to apply design thinking as strategies for creativity and innovation
  3. Develop a design brief from the organisation’s strategies and values
  4. Guide participants to use design thinking processes and methodologies
  5. Create metrics and criteria to measure outcomes of prototypes
  6. Promote the implementation of design thinking for the organisation
  7. Explain the concept of innovation management.

Pre-requisites

    • This workshop is suitable for frontline, supervisory and managerial staff who are interested to learn how Design Thinking is relevant for Industry 4.0 and applied to Digital Transformation.

Participants who have successfully demonstrated competence in all the knowledge and skills requirements in this programme will be awarded with a Statement of Attainment (SOA) by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). This programme is offered on a modular basis only.

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • From 1 October 2023, attendance-taking for SkillsFuture Singapore's (SSG) funded courses must be done digitally via the Singpass App. This applies to both physical and synchronous e-learning courses

  • Trainee must pass all prescribed tests / assessments, and attain 100% competency
  • NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not meet the eligibility criteria
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents

  • This course is eligible for Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP).
  • NTUC members can enjoy up to 50% funding (capped at $250 per year) under UTAP.
