After course completion, trainees will have the knowledge and skills required in performing advanced cleaning of washrooms.

  • Perform simple maintenance to fixtures and fittings
  • Perform periodic cleaning of toilet ceilings, glass, walls/ partitions, fixtures and fittings
  • Perform de-scaling of urinals and toilet bowls
  • Perform advanced cleaning of toilet floors
  • Reinstate work area

Course Outline

  • Know the various types of environment
  • Know the various types and characteristics of toilet ceilings, glass, walls/ partitions, fixtures and fittings for periodic cleaning
  • Know the various types and characteristics of toilet floors
  • Know the various types and characteristics of urinals and toilet bowls
  • Know basic proper grooming for work
  • Know the various types and proper uses of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Apply basic knowledge of first-aid
  • Display appropriate safety signage to reduce hazards before work
  • Know the tools, equipment, supplies, and chemicals for periodic cleaning of washrooms
  • Have knowledge of Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
  • Perform simple maintenance to fixtures and fittings
  • Perform de-scaling methods to urinals and toilet bowls
  • Perform periodic cleaning for toilet ceilings, glass, walls/ partitions, fixtures and fittings
  • Perform advanced toilet floor cleaning using single disc floor scrubber
  • Reinstate work area
  • Follow procedures and standards

Certificate Obtained and Conferred by

  • Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)
  • Certificate of completion from NTUC LearningHub

Upon meeting at least 75% attendance and passing the assessment(s), participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub.

Funding Eligibility Criteria

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • From 1 October 2023, attendance-taking for SkillsFuture Singapore's (SSG) funded courses must be done digitally via the Singpass App. This applies to both physical and synchronous e-learning courses.
  • Trainee must pass all prescribed tests / assessments and attain 100% competency.
  • NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents

SkillsFuture Credit:

  • Eligible Singapore Citizens can use their SkillsFuture Credit to offset course fee payable after funding.

UTAP:

  • This course is eligible for Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP).
  • NTUC members can enjoy up to 50% funding (capped at $250 per year) under UTAP.
