How Does The Security Sector PWM Work? The PWM for the security sector is a five-level career progression model. Each level ensures that security officers receive wages that correspond with their skills and productivity. Check out the job roles and required training to advance through the ranks in the infographic below.The Progressive Wage Model (PWM) was developed by the Security Tripartite Cluster (STC) consisting of unions, employers and the government to help uplift
low-wage workers in the security sector. Security agencies must meet the PWM wages and training requirements for all Singaporean and PRs security officers.
To remain competitive and enjoy a higher salary in the security industry, you are encouraged to upgrade your current skill sets to enhance your productivity and move up the salary scale.

- Incident Response (Handle Security Incidents and Services) #
- Threat Observation (Recognise Terrorist Threats)
* Effective 1 Jan 2024, new SOs will need to pass the following enhanced module, and Incident Response and Threat Observation before being deployed.
* In-service SOs will be required to complete the following module by 31 Dec 2025
- Security Operations Compliance (Manage Security Agency within Legal Framework)

Security Officer (SO) Entry Level
