Course Objectives

Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Develop a Security Management Framework using strategic security structures, concepts, and principles.
  • Analyze and correlate Global Risk and Physical Security Trends to address prevailing security threats.
  • Plan, manage, and present Security Budgets to demonstrate return on investment for security measures.
  • Implement counter-espionage programs to address corporate, industrial, and economic espionage risks.
  • Foster strategic positioning of Corporate Security within organizations through collaboration with other business units.
  • Apply risk mitigation strategies using analytical approaches, risk transfer, acceptance, avoidance, and mitigation.
  • Effectively communicate security-related matters to C-Suite Leadership using the "Risk Language."
  • Understand the role of Business Continuity Management in emergency planning and crisis management to safeguard organizational resiliency and survival during critical incidents.

Pre-requisites

The admission requirements are:

  • Minimum 1 year of industry related working experience
  • Pass in English in Secondary or High School education or equivalent

  • Understanding the Role and Expectation of C-Suite Leadership

Learning Unit 5: Communicating Corporate Security Plans to Higher Management

  • Present the Security Budget to Senior Management

Certificate Obtained and Conferred by

  • Statement of Attainment (SOA) accredited by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). SOA will be reflected as SEC-SRM-5003-1.1 Security Threat Research.
  • Certificate of completion from NTUC LearningHub

Upon meeting at least 75% attendance and passing the assessment(s), participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub and Academy of Security, Intelligence and Risk Studies (ASIRS).

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • From 1 October 2023, attendance-taking for SkillsFuture Singapore's (SSG) funded courses must be done digitally via the Singpass App. This applies to both physical and synchronous e-learning courses

  • Trainee must pass all prescribed tests / assessments, and attain 100% competency
  • NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not meet the eligibility criteria
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
