The Security Surveillance Management (Perform Remote Surveillance Function) security course is designed for security professionals involved in performing remote surveillance tasks and who meet the regulatory requirement to be licensed as a security officer according to the Private Security Industry Act 2007.

Course Objectives

The course aims to provide security personnel with essential knowledge, skills, and integrated competencies required in the dynamic field of remote surveillance training, ensuring they are well-equipped to adapt to the ever-evolving security landscape.

Pre-requisites

The following prerequisites are required for the course:

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English at WPL Level 3.
  • Ability to read content displayed on a computer monitor and have clear vision at a distance.
  • Basic skills in operating a computer.
  • Smartphone with an internet connection and QR code scanner function (this will be used during the POLWEL assessment).

Certificate Obtained and Conferred by

Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) will be issued for each module graded competent. SOA reflected as SEC-TEM-2004-1.1.

Upon meeting at least 75% attendance and passing the assessment(s), participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub.

  • From 1 October 2023, attendance-taking for SkillsFuture Singapore's (SSG) funded courses must be done digitally via the Singpass App. This applies to both physical and synchronous e-learning courses

  • Trainee must pass all prescribed tests / assessments, and attain 100% competency
  • NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not meet the eligibility criteria
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
