This course enables you to acquire the abilities and knowledge relating to the Technical Standard of Security Surveillance Management at Level 1 proficiency.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Operate different types of CCTV equipment according to organisational procedures
  • Check and ensure that CCTV recording devices are of operational status
  • Carry out basic troubleshooting and report CCTV equipment faults to the supervisor
  • Operate different types of CCTV equipment to capture relevant evidence in accordance to operational procedures
  • Identify and report subjects, scenes, actions, and time captured on different types of CCTV equipment in accordance to organisation procedures
  • Complete relevant documentation relating to CCTV operations

Course Objectives

CCTV surveillance often work in conjunction with security systems and are often internet-connected, so people can monitor the feed from anywhere. These used by both consumers and businesses alike to keep an eye on sensitive or vulnerable areas.

In the security industry, CCTV surveillance training will equip security personnels with the necessary knowledge and abilities, as well as integrated competencies in the ever-evolving security landscape. This in turn help drive changes in the security industry, creating new value and productivity for their clients. Security personnels will thus be able to gain an advantage in terms of career prospects and personal development.

Pre-requisites

  • ​​​​​GCE N Level pass in English and Mathematics

         OR

  • Equivalent to WPL Level 5 & WPN – Intermediate Level.

Learning Unit 1 CCTV Surveillance Systems

1 - Operate different types of CCTV equipment according to organisational procedures.

Certificate Obtained and Conferred by

Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) will be issued for each module graded competent. SOA reflected as SEC-TEM-1004-1.1.

  • Certificate of completion from NTUC LearningHub

Upon meeting at least 75% attendance and passing the assessment(s), participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub.

Funding Eligibility Criteria:

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • From 1 October 2023, attendance-taking for SkillsFuture Singapore's (SSG) funded courses must be done digitally via the Singpass App. This applies to both physical and synchronous e-learning courses

  • Trainee must pass all prescribed tests / assessments, and attain 100% competency
  • NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not meet the eligibility criteria
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
