Who Should Attend

This course is suitable for operational level workers such as machine operators, production floor operators, planners, craftsman, and technicians.

Course Overview

On completion of this module, participants will gain skills and knowledge in identifying and carrying out improvement activities in the workplace. Participants also learn how to evaluate and implement different improvement techniques to carry out such processes and how to monitor and follow-through with the implementation.

Course Objectives

Participants will be able to learn how to apply continuous improvement processes to improve products, services or processes seeking incremental improvement over time or breakthrough improvement all at once.

  • Identify improvement goals to be achieved based on the collected data.
  • Carry out the continuous improvement corrective actions in accordance with the action plan.
  • Report and record the outcomes of continuous improvement activities in accordance with organisational procedures.
  • Apply appropriate continuous process improvement techniques to maintain work area cleanliness.

Pre-requisites

WPLN5 – English – Level 5 for reading, listening, speaking and writing) or GCE“O” Level – English Grade

Course Outline

  • Introduction to continuous Improvement.
  • Compile data for continuous pro-cess improvement for Data analysis.
  • Identify the improvement goals to be achieved.
  • Prepare Action plan the continuous improvement activities.
  • Apply continuous process improvement actions.
  • Apply Corrective action on any non-conformance issues.
  • Track Record for follow-up action.

Certificate Obtained and Conferred by

  • Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)
  • Certificate of completion from NTUC LearningHub

Upon meeting at least 75% attendance and passing the assessment(s), participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub.

Funding Eligibility Criteria:

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • From 1 October 2023, attendance-taking for SkillsFuture Singapore's (SSG) funded courses must be done digitally via the Singpass App. This applies to both physical and synchronous e-learning courses

  • Trainee must pass all prescribed tests / assessments, and attain 100% competency
  • NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not meet the eligibility criteria
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents

SkillsFuture Credit: 

  • Eligible Singapore Citizens can use their SkillsFuture Credit to offset course fee payable after funding.

UTAP: 

  • This course is eligible for Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP).
  • NTUC members can enjoy up to 50% funding (capped at $250 per year) under UTAP.

Absentee Payroll (AP) Funding:
