Course Overview
This is a five-day course which offers the candidates with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to support and manage Apple macOS, iOS, and iPadOS devices in an organization’s IT environment. It covers the device deployment and management solutions so they can be leveraged to an organization’s advantage. Candidates learn how to use practical methods and tools to install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain OS, applications, and services on Apple devices.
After the completing course, the candidates will be equipped with adequate knowledge to prepare themselves for the Apple Device Support Exam (9L0-3021) and Apple Device Deployment Exam (9L0-3019) examinations. The examinations will grant successful candidates the Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) and Apple Certified IT Professional (ACITP) certifications respectively.

Course Objectives
In this course, students will learn the technical knowledge and skills necessary to install, administer, troubleshoot, and maintain Apple devices. Students will be able to:
- Describe system requirements for initial Apple device configuration.
- Use the command line interface for effective macOS system administration.
- Understand the concepts and workings of Mobile Device Management Basics.
- Perform backup and restore of Apple devices.
- Configure network settings and services on Apple devices.
- Secure Apple device system hardware and software.
- Manage user account and data security.
- Understand Apple’s implementation of user data privacy.
- Utilize tools for troubleshooting and system diagnostics.
Pre-requisites
The admission requirements are:
- Have some background in IT
- A basic understanding of virtualization
- A basic understanding of Active Directory concepts, including domains, users, and domain controllers
- A basic understanding of database concepts, including tables and simple queries

- This course will be conducted as a Virtual Live Class (VLC) via Zoom platform.
- Participants must own a Zoom account and have a laptop or a desktop with “Zoom Client for Meetings” installed. Download from zoom.us/download.

- The exam contains 110 scored technical questions, and you have 120 minutes to complete them.
- The minimum passing score is 80 percent. Scores aren’t rounded.
- The exam uses multiple-choice, multiple-select, and matching questions.
- You may not access any resources or references during the exam.

To schedule and take the exam, complete these steps:
- Sign in to ACRS using your Apple ID and password.
- Click Credentials. Then click Apple Device Support Exam to start the exam registration process.
- Update the Contact Details for the Testing and Certification section. Answer the additional information questions. If you’re requesting any special accommodations to take the exam, complete the relevant fields. Then click the Submit button.
- On the notifications page, look for this text: “You may continue to the exam process for Apple Device Support Exam.” Click Continue at Pearson VUE.
- Follow the instructions to schedule and pay for your exam.
On the day of your scheduled exam, complete these steps:
- 30 minutes before your scheduled exam time, go to ACRS and sign in with your Apple ID and password.
- Click the Apple Device Support Exam on the home page.
- Click Begin Exam, then follow the instructions.
After you complete the exam, Pearson emails you your score. If you don’t pass the exam on the first try, you can purchase another exam and retake it after 14 days. You’re allowed four attempts to pass the exam.
