Who Should Attend

This course is suitable for learners from a variety of sectors and ranges in age. As professionals which seek to enter the games industry where there is a need to create and design games using AR and VR for training and industrial applications, they may be transitioning into their careers or expanding in terms of skill sets.

Course Overview

According to Business Wire Report, the gamification market is expected to grow by USD 17.56 billion during 2020-2021. The report also provides the market impact and new opportunities created due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There are a few ways in which AR and VR are transforming the future of business, as such rapid prototyping and product design. Competition in the manufacturing sector means companies are under more pressure than ever to deliver greater innovations faster, more effective and affordable ways.

There are a lot of misconceptions about Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR): It’s just for gamers. It puts you in a virtual world and requires cumbersome headsets. But today’s AR and VR technology is multifaceted and tailor-made for the business world.  Moving far beyond gaming, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality can create value in healthcare, manufacturing, retail and other industries. But winning with AR and VR means carefully identifying and integrating the right strategy, technology, data and operating model. AR and VR technology transforms how you visualize and use data, sparking innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage. And it’s industry agnostic.

Here are some of the benefits of using AR and VR:

  • Retailers can fulfil orders faster and more accurately. They understand how to integrate it with their data, business models, people, and organization.
  • Also, AR and VR can drive process improvements for engineers and technicians, for example, engineers and technicians in the field can be fed information and access instruction manuals in real time using an AR interface so that they can quickly identify problems and conduct repairs and maintenance.
  • AR and VR also help in design optimization of an industry that requires these high-cost processes. VR is the perfect tool to reduce the costs derived from prototyping tasks. This technology allows creating of an almost real product simulation where all the characteristics of the product will be visualised as if we had it physically in front of our eyes.
  • The training of technicians specialised in the handling of industrial machinery is another application of AR and VR technology.

These are one of many examples of how AR and VR can transform a business.

The course will cover a holistic and hands-on experience in developing of own games using the Unity Developer course that covers a variety of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality(AR) and Commercially available Off The Shelf (COTS) devices which will be useful in their professional pursuits.
