Course Overview

Organisations face multiple risks when conducting their activities and some of these risks include the risk of non-clarity of obligations of parties in a business transaction, the risk of non-payment for goods and services, the risk of competitors copying goodwill and trade mark of your business, the risk of failure to deliver goods and services owing to natural disasters, riots, war, Covid-19, etc, the risk of non-compliance with time schedules for the delivery of goods and services and failure to identify legal means to collect payment for goods and services.

There are several methods that may be used to reduce the above risks. For most businesses, the above risks can be managed by having proper contracts and protection of intellectual property rights. However, the management and employees of few businesses understand how to manage these well, with no background knowledge of the content nor the impact of contracts and intellectual property protection on business transactions carried out by the organisations.
