Course Overview

In this modern and fast paced digital age, it becomes more critical to have fast, accurate and relevant actions taken to resolve and eliminate incidents that crop up from time to time. It is imperative and essential that your staff demonstrate and use the key skills they need in order to systematically take full control of every situation. Course Objectives

Upon successfully completing this module, participants will acquire the capability to recognize the essential tools, processes, technologies, and team members required for achieving results in incident management within the ICT industry. They will be proficient in applying Root Cause Analysis through the utilization of risk assessment techniques and Failure Mode and Evaluation Analysis. Furthermore, they will be able to assess corrective and preventive actions for identified failure modes, formulate and execute project plans for implementing solutions, and enhance improvements by systematically monitoring issues and validating the efficacy of implemented measures.

Pre-requisites

The admission requirements are:

  • ‘O’ Level educational qualification

Course Outline

This programme will cover the following topics:

  • Identify team members and stakeholders to resolve identified problems
  • Define the process flow of key components of eight disciplines (8D) problem-solving methodology
  • Apply Relevant tools, processes and technologies to facilitate problem identification, investigation, analysis and resolution
  • Identify the Root cause analysis (RCA) tools
  • Conduct RCA by review product and process flow diagrams to locate the root cause of problems
  • Identify Risk assessment Techniques
  • Perform risk assessment with Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) process, tools and applications
  • Apply FMEA to identify and assess actual and potential failures in product and process designs
  • Corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) – using POKA YOKE Methods
  • Recommend interim containment actions
  • Decide corrective actions for identified failure modes
  • Develop execution and project plans for solution implementation
  • Blameless Culture in the RCA Process

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • From 1 October 2023, attendance-taking for SkillsFuture Singapore's (SSG) funded courses must be done digitally via the Singpass App.
    This applies to both physical and synchronous e-learning courses.
  • Trainee must achieve at least 75% attendance.
  • Trainee must pass all prescribed tests / assessments and attain 100% competency.
  • NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
