Course Overview

Presentation is a helpful way of communicating information, whether it is to be delivered by a speaker or used as a reference or guide. Being able to present information so that it can be clearly understood is a valuable skill in the workplace.

This course is suitable for a wide range of candidates in any type of job role that involves communicating with different audiences for different purposes.

Course Objectives

Upon course completion, learners will be able to:

  • Work with presentations and save them in different file formats
  • Choose built-in options such as the ‘Help’ function within the application to enhance productivity
  • Understand different presentation views and when to use them, choose different slide layouts and designs
  • Enter, edit and format text in presentations. Recognise good practise in applying unique titles to slides
  • Choose, create and format charts to communicate information meaningfully
  • Insert and edit pictures, images and drawn objects
  • Apply animation and transition effects to presentations, check and correct presentation content before finally printing and giving presentations

Pre-requisites

(a) F2F Classes, these are the admission requirements.

  • Know the basic functions of a computer
  • Be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English
  • Have a keen interest to acquire new knowledge and willingness to learn a new skill

(b) Virtual Learning Classes, these are the admission requirements.

Trainings will be conducted on Zoom platform, thus webcam and microphone are compulsory

  • Have a Windows OS PC prior to class with the software installed (Apple Mac OS is not applicable)
  • Know the basic functions of a computer
  • Be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English
  • Have a keen interest to acquire new knowledge and willingness to learn a new skill

Certificate Obtained and Conferred by

  • Certificate of completion from NTUC LearningHub

Trainees will have to arrange a schedule to attempt the ICDL External exam with NTUC LHUB Exams unit. Successful trainees who have passed the external ICDL exams will receive the internationally recognised ICDL Certificate upon of the course. This certificate is administered by ICDL Singapore, a new initiative from ECDL Foundation.

Upon meeting at least 75% attendance and passing the assessment(s), participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub.
