Course Overview
The Zero Waste Manager Course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to implement and monitor 3R efforts, integrate the 3Rs into the organisational culture of companies, and comply with regulatory requirements on waste management such as NEA’s MWR scheme. The course covers waste management policies, regulations, and best practices, emphasising the principles of Reduction, Reuse, and Recycling (3R) for sustainable waste management.

Course Objectives
Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe waste issues, waste management policies and regulations
- Understand Mandatory Waste Reporting and its requirements
- Identify General Waste Collectors and types of waste
- Understand 3R (Reduction, Reuse and Recycling) and implement 3R Programme(s)
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
Pre-requisites
The admission requirements are:
- Competent in using MS Excel (Microsoft Excel 2007 and later) and/or Google application (e.g. Google Sheets, Google Drive)
- Hardware & Software
- This course will be conducted as a Virtual Live Class (VLC) via Zoom platform or Physical Face-to-Face Classroom Training
- Participants must own a Zoom account and have a laptop or a desktop with “Zoom Client for Meetings” installed. Download from zoom.us/download.
- For VLC class, participants need to have their own laptops with Microsoft Excel (Microsoft Excel 2007 and later) installed and have access to Google application.
