What do Cloud Administrator Do?

Cloud administrators work in coordination with the IT department to develop and support cloud, Windows, or Unix infrastructures. They provide technical support for Windows and cloud-based systems and troubleshoot operational issues. The professional also assists with the administration of cloud services and a Windows server environment.

This role is also often referred to as Cloud System Administrator, System Administrator, Sys Ops Administrator, etc.

Programme Pre-requisites

  • Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 21 and above, who are currently unemployed but are looking for career conversion
  • Minimum 2 years work experience
  • Committed to complete the programme
Functional/ Technical Competencies
  • Minimum Diploma in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics related discipline
  • Be able to speak, listen, read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5
  • Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES WSQ Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 5
  • Well versed in all Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience in Desktop / Network / Systems Administration will be an advantage

Student Schedule

This is a full-time training programme conducted over 6 months (48 days/383 hours). This 6 months programme comprises of a combination of instructor-led virtual training, self-paced E-learning and hands-on capstone projects.
