Course Overview
The three-days course provides a comprehensive understanding of critical cloud security concepts and practices. Participants will delve into various cloud computing models, such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS), gaining insights into their key characteristics and security implications. The course covers essential aspects like data security, platform and infrastructure protection, application security considerations, and effective security operations in cloud environments. Additionally, legal and compliance requirements, risk management strategies, and the concept of Security as a Service (SECaaS) are explored to ensure a well-rounded understanding of cloud security. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to design secure cloud architectures and effectively respond to security incidents and forensics challenges within the cloud. The course will prepare students for the CCSK examination.

Course Objectives
Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Understanding Cloud Infrastructure Components and securing virtual networks, workloads and cloud management plane with consideration for business continuity.
- Understand the implications of cloud on governance, risk and compliance activities focussing on controls, audits and contracts to mitigate risks introduced to the organization through the cloud computing environment.
- Understand data security lifecycle, cloud storage and encryption models, assessing the role and effectiveness of access controls.
- Review secure software development basics and application security in cloud computing leveraging cloud capabilities.
- Understand Security as a Service categories, security issues of related technologies to cloud computing (i.e big data, mobile, IOT etc) and how to respond to security incidents in the cloud.
Pre-requisites
The admission requirements are:
- There are no pre-requisites for the course, but basic IT/Internet knowledge and some fundamental cloud computing knowledge would be advantageous.
- Read, write, and speak English at WPL Level 4
- Manipulate numbers at WPN Level 4

Upon meeting the attendance and assessment(s) criteria, participants will be awarded with the [CCSK Certificate of Completion] from [Cloud Security Alliance].

After registering for this course, you will be issued the following:
- Official CCSK exam token good for two attempts (valid for 2 years)
- Official CCSK courseware material
Official Cloud Security Alliance Examination
The CCSK is an open-book, online exam, completed in 90 minutes with 60 multiple-choice questions selected randomly from the CCSK question pool. The minimum passing score is 80%. After students pass the external official exam, they will receive a Certificate in Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) from Cloud Security Alliance (CSA).
