Mode of Assessment

Students will be required to complete a paper-based assessment that requires a PC during the last day of the course.

After completing the course, it is optional for learners to take the CPENT Certificate exam from EC-Council.

For students who had paid for certification examination(s), they will receive a printed instruction voucher or email instructions after the class period to allow them to book the relevant computer-based examination for their course.

As we recognize that every individual has a different studying pace, we will allow everyone to make a choice when they are ready to take the examination*. So, they can register for their examination date by proceeding to level 3 Room G Exam Department at our NTUC Trade Union House center to book their examination upon receipt of the instruction voucher/ email instructions.

*Subjected to terms and conditions and schedule availability. The exam department cannot register for your examination if the voucher provided by the official vendor has expired. Course Overview

This is a five-day course which offers the participant a comprehensive understanding of the Professional Pen Testing concepts, terminology and principles being applied to Professional Pen Testing Engagements. It embraces key concepts from EC-Council’s published penetration testing methodology to provide a comprehensive, standards-based, methodology approach to deliver a professional penetration testing engagement for an organization. After the completing course, the participant will be equipped with adequate knowledge to prepare themselves for the CPENT exam.

This course will prepare participants to sit for CPENT Examination.

After completing this course, you will be able to gain a comprehensive, up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of the following:

  • Learn about the challenges in industrial control systems (ICS), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) testing, reviewing ICS/SCADA network protocols, analyze Modbus network traffic, and modifying ICS/SCADA network data.
  • Learn how to implement a comprehensive penetration testing methodology for assessing security of organization’s cloud infrastructure.
  • Learn about binary exploitation, buffer-overflow concepts, reviewing memory layout for stacks, analyze the memory and look for weaknesses, modifying the execution of a program, and bypass basic stack protections.
  • Learn how to write a comprehensive penetration testing report for the target audience.

It is recommended that the participant have at least 1 years of relevant working experience in IT industry with knowledge in the area of Ethical Hacking / network security.

External Certification

After students take and pass the optional exam, they will receive a Certified Pen Testing Professional Certificate from EC-Council.

  2. EC Council Official iLab (access for 6 months), practice what you have learned from class using iLab hosted over cloud and accessible 24/7 via web browser.
