Individuals whose job role requires them conduct corrective maintenance on electrical and electronic systems in security technology.
Course Overview
This course enables you to acquire the abilities and knowledge relating to the TSC of Electrical and Electronic Systems Maintenance at Level 2 proficiency.
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Determine corrective maintenance tasks on security technology.
- Prepare resources required for corrective maintenance activities
- Recognise defective components and parts on electrical and electronic systems
- Record maintenance activities

Course Objectives
Access control, surveillance cameras and intrusion sensors are part of security system. To train participants as a role of an electronic technicians with the ability to provide maintenance to security systems.
Pre-requisites
- GCE N Level pass in English and Mathematics
OR - Equivalent to WPL Level 5 & WPN – Intermediate Level.
Course Outline
Unit 1 Preparation of Maintenance on Electrical & Electronic Systems
1 - Interpret work orders to determine corrective maintenance tasks.
2 - Coordinate the preparation of resources required for corrective maintenance activities.
3 - Recognise defective components and parts on electrical and electronic systems for corrective maintenance work.
4 - Collate and document maintenance activities performed on electrical and electronic systems.
Unit 2 Maintenance on Electrical & Electronic Systems
5 - Disassemble electrical and electronic systems for corrective maintenance.
6 - Carry out repair and/or replacement of faulty components and parts.
7 - Reassemble and reinstate electrical and electronic systems.
8 - Perform functionality tests on electrical and electronic systems.
9 - Apply operating and safety measures during maintenance work.
Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
- Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) will be issued for each module graded competent. SOA reflected as BEV-AMT-2005-1.1-1.
- Certificate of completion from NTUC LearningHub
Upon meeting at least 75% attendance and passing the assessment(s), participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub.
