Who Should Attend
This course has been specifically designed for the learners with a background in the following areas: WSH Officer, WSH Manager, WSH Professional, WSH Advisor and EHS or HSE Engineer or equivalent.
Course Overview
This unit of competency specifies the knowledge, skills and attitudes required of a Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer to manage operational issues associated with the controls and put in place appropriate risk control measures in the construction industry.

Course Objectives
Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Conduct WSH Risk Assessment for key trades and daily work activities in the construction industry in accordance with organisational procedures and legal requirements
- Implement the suggested Risk Control measures in accordance with the implementation plan developed.
- Assist in monitoring the implementation of risk control measures and in the compilation of report to management on the status of the implementation plan
Pre-requisites
You are required to fulfill any of the following tracks to be eligible for the course.
Track 1:
- Recognised Technology/ Science-related Diploma/ Engineering Degree
And
- At least 2 years of WSH relevant working experience
Track 2:
- Possess Employability Skills Workplace Literacy Level 6 or GCE O Level English Grade C6
- GCE O Level Math & Science Grade C6, or bridging course
- Possess GCE ‘O’ Level Science (Physics) grade C6, or Certification of Performance Physics bridging course
- Possess WSH Skills and knowledge equivalent to that of Advanced Certificate in WSH
- Have at least 2 years of post-WSH qualification working experience as WSH Supervisor, WSH Coordinator or similar occupation role
Track 3:
- Possess Employability Skills Workplace Literacy Level 6 or GCE O Level English Grade C6
- GCE O Level Math & Science Grade C6, or bridging course
- Possess GCE ‘O’ Level Science (Physics) grade C6, or Certification of Performance Physics bridging course
- Possess WSH Skills and knowledge equivalent to that of Advanced Certificate in WSH
- Have at least 5 years of WSH-related working experience, in which 2 years should be recent working experience such as WSH Supervisor/Coordinator
Note: All Modules will be assessed according to full qualification. You may also be required to undergo a pre-qualifying test. Applications without ALL the above required supporting documents will be considered incomplete and rejected.
