Who Should Attend
This course is developed for individuals who wish to develop their abilities in identifying problems and responding more effectively within their area of work.
Course Overview
Acquire the skills to work with a team of staff in problem solving and decision making which includes anticipating and identifying potential problems, facilitating team’s effort to resolve the problem, making appropriate decisions, and seeing implementation plans through.

Course Objectives
Successful candidates will be able to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills on the following:
- Determine problem by identifying performance deficiency and key impact to organisation’s system and processes,
- Identify the sources or areas of potential problems at the workplace to locate symptoms of potential problems.
- Assess the root causes of the problem through group facilitation methods as well as problem solving tools and techniques.
- Appraise the effectiveness of the solution and implementation plans and prepare corrective action plans for any gaps identified
Pre-requisites
- Speak, Listen, Read and Write English at WPL Level 4 or equivalent
- Manipulate numbers at WPN Level 4 or equivalent
Course Outline
This course aims to enhance the skills of the learners to acquire techniques in problem-solving and decision-making including root cause analysis of problem, generating, and evaluating alternative solutions, making appropriate decisions, and taking responsibility for the decisions within their own circle of influence.
Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)
- Certificate of completion from NTUC LearningHub
Upon meeting at least 75% attendance and passing the assessment(s), participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub.

- Lectures and hands-on practical sessions, Group discussions and sharing, Individual and group presentations, and Role Play.
