Course Overview
This course aims to equip you with the knowledge and skills to operate Point-Of-Sales (POS) Terminals in your workplace efficiently, understand the POS system and to provide customers with accurate and excellent services.

Course Objectives
Successful candidates will be able to:
- Customer service policy and service recovery
- Machines and equipment used by cashier
- Prepare to operate Point-of-Sale equipment
- Perform point-of-sale transaction
- Wrap and pack goods
- Balance register or terminal
- EFT and EDC machine
- Introduction to membership cards
- Reading receipts and offline transactions
- Level of authority and personal responsibility
- Redemptions and recognition of genuine cash notes
- Grooming practices
Pre-requisites
- Speak, Listen, Read and Write English at WPL Level 4 or equivalent
- Manipulate numbers at WPN Level 4 or equivalent

This course will be conducted as a Virtual Live Class (VLC) via Zoom platform. Participants must own a zoom account and have a laptop or a desktop with “Zoom Client for Meetings” installed. This can be downloaded from https://zoom.us/download.

Course Outline
This course has been specially designed for learners to acquire the abilities and knowledge to effectively close sales on the Point-of-Sale (POS) Equipment to the satisfaction of customers, complete customer order forms, invoices and receipts and process any loyalty card transactions.
Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
- Certificate of completion from NTUC LearningHub
Upon meeting at least 75% attendance and passing the assessment(s), participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub.
