Course Overview
“Champion HR Business Partnering” series is targeted at HR professionals or management level staff of organisation to develop a resilient workforce through HR business partnering. HR Business partners are aligned to and work closely with business leaders to enhance workforce performance, foster, and nurture strategic people enablers such as talent, leadership, learning and culture, as well as develop people solutions, to achieve the organisation’s objectives.
Participants will acquire knowledge, skills, competencies, understanding, awareness and add value to their work when utilizing analysis of financial statements relating to fundamentals of finance and accounting. Participants will also gain an extensive working knowledge of critical financial principles, guidelines, and standards to enable making critical functional and business decisions involving cost-savings, budgets, new projects decisions, growth strategies, etc. related to Human Resources, the business and organization.

Course Objectives
This programme will help the learners gain practical knowledge of how and when organisation’s financial can impact their Human Resource plans.
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Understand the implications of finance on various HR related and corporate activities
- Understand and analyse financial statements. Be in better position to discuss relevant financial issues with finance and other stakeholders
- Understand the impact of financial decisions on performance, revenue, and profitability
- Get practical insights, change HR’s perspective, and gain appreciation of the fundamentals of finance and accounting
Pre-requisites
The admission requirements are:
- Be able to speak, listen, read, and write English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 6.
- (Only for Online Classes) Hardware & Software
- This course will be conducted as a Virtual Live Class (VLC) via Zoom platform.
- Participants must own a Zoom account and have a laptop or a desktop with “Zoom Client for Meetings” installed. Download from zoom.us/download.

Course Outline
LU1. Assess Impact of Organisation Financial Stability on Human Resource activities
Learners will learn to appreciate how organisation’s financial status has to the various Human Resource activities and initiatives.
LU2. Analyse and Interpret Financial Statements
Learner will learn the basics of understanding and analysing the organisation’s financial statements, and the data impacts the stakeholders, to better discuss with stakeholders on future Human Resource plans.
LU3. Engage Key Stakeholders on Financial Impacts of Human Resource Activities
Learner will learn to prepare and present the results of data analysed to key stakeholders and will share on how findings can be put into practical Human Resource applications or initiatives.

External Certification
Upon meeting the attendance and assessment(s) criteria, participants will be awarded with Certificate of Attendance from NTUC LearningHub and CIPD. Upon completion of all 6 courses offered (Find the course names below), participants will be awarded with Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub and CIPD. The 6 courses are:
