Who Should Attend

Those with a minimum of 2 years’ working experience and who are supporting the risk management process or project management and are keen to acquire the basic enterprise risk management skills.

Course Overview

This is a foundation course where you will learn the basic concept of enterprise risk management. The course is substantially activity-based. Through peer discussions and role-plays, you will apply the risk concepts in a risk planning exercise, to develop a risk management plan. This is a synchronous course conducted fully online on Zoom.

Course Objectives

  • Understand risk and the enterprise risk management concept of managing risk.
  • Understand the financial services industry specific risks.
  • Understand the components of the risk planning process, and to support risk planning and risk assessment.
  • Understand and implement control activities.
  • Understand the different risk responses and translate them into risk action plans.
  • Apply change management techniques to carry out the risk action plans.
  • Document, track and monitor risk management outcomes for different stakeholders.

Course Outline

  • Part 1 - An overview of the enterprise risk management, the framework, philosophy, strategies and process.
  • Part 2 - The process and techniques in developing and executing a risk management plan.

Certificate Obtained and Conferred by

  • Certificate of completion from NTUC LearningHub

Upon meeting at least 75% attendance and passing the assessment(s), participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub.

As this is a government subsidised programme, the entire training programme will be video recorded for audit purposes by the relevant funding agency. To ascertain their presence, Trainees / Participants are required to

  • Turn on web camera to show real-time video, as opposed to using a profile picture / video (jpg/jpeg, gif or png image file) for the entirety of the training and assessment session.
  • Ensure that their faces are fully visible (not just the forehead / eyebrows)
  • Use their full name as per NRIC / Passport as their Screen Name on Zoom

Company Sponsored Trainee

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents physically based in Singapore
  • From 1 October 2023, attendance-taking for SkillsFuture Singapore's (SSG) funded courses must be done digitally via the Singpass App. This applies to both physical and synchronous e-learning courses
  • NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not fulfil the eligibility criteria
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents physically based in Singaporean
  • From 1 October 2023, attendance-taking for SkillsFuture Singapore's (SSG) funded courses must be done digitally via the Singpass App. This applies to both physical and synchronous e-learning courses
  • Sponsoring company must be
    • Singapore-based financial Institutions regulated by MAS (licensed or exempt from licensing by MAS)
    • FinTech firms certified by Singapore FinTech Association
  • NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from the employer if trainee did not fulfil the eligibility criteria
  • Eligible company-sponsored trainees will be able to clock CPD hours upon successful course completion

SkillsFuture Credit:

  • Eligible Singapore Citizens can use their SkillsFuture Credit to offset course fee payable after funding

UTAP:

  • NTUC Members can enjoy up to 50% funding (capped at $250 per year) under Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP)

Training Allowance Grant (TAG):

  • $10/hr of eligible training and assessment hours
  • TAG will only be disbursed to the eligible sponsoring companies upon the participants’ successful completion including fulfilling 100% attendance requirement and passing the assessments.
