Who Should Attend
- HR Professionals who have more than 3 years of HR experience and responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and programmes to deliver HR services and operate the HR function.
- Consultants at an equivalent experience level whose work is directly relevant to HR are also eligible.
Course Overview
The course fee also includes 1 assessment for the IHRP certification.
This is an intensive 3-days Course to enable HR practitioners to be competent in the roles and responsibilities of a HR personnel throughout the HR Life Cycle of Plan, Attract, Develop, Engage and Separate in accordance with the IHRP Body of Competencies. The course is also designed for HR personnel to be better prepared for the IHRP-CP (Certified Professional) on-site assessment of Paper B. The course will cover all the 5 Functional Competencies and their sub-competencies plus the 3 Foundational Competencies (excluding Labour Policies and Legislation which is assessed in Paper A). The mindsets and behavioural competencies are intertwined throughout the course to provide participants with greater contextualisation and to facilitate understanding.

Course Objectives
The programme is part of IHRP’s Development Pathway targeted at HR Professionals to accelerate their readiness to take on bigger HR roles as an IHRP-Certified Professional (IHRP-CP)
You will be assessed through:
- Experience Assessment: Online submission of detailed information and documented proof to demonstrate HR at the CP level.
- Competency Assessment: Computer based assessment comprising of multiple-choice questions for CP Paper.
Pre-requisites
HR Professionals who have more than 3 years of HR experience and responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and programmes to deliver HR services and operate the HR function.
HR-related experience is defined as:
- Experience related to work listed in the Body of Competencies at CP level and can include internship/work placements.
- 1 year = At least 50% of work in 1 calendar year are HR-related activities that are not operational or administrative work.
- Operational and administrative work refers to activities such as: payroll management, arranging applicant interviews, scheduling L&D programs, organising and maintaining employee records, updating HR databases, preparing/amending HR documents (e.g., employee contracts, confirmation letters), revising company policy documents, processing employee travels/claims, posting job ads, work pass applications.
Learners should also have acquired at least 150-hours of HR-related training or education.
Learners are required to upload their resume for the verification of 3 years of HR experience and 150-hours of HR-related training or education, including their full name and email address. Once the resume is verified by IHRP, learner will need to apply for IHRP account in order to take the assessment. This will require learner to upload their resume for the 2nd time.
Learners are assumed to able to speak, listen, read and write English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5.
For assessment, do note that it can only be done remotely.
You should have ensured that your device fulfilled the following hardware and system requirements before applying for remote assessment:
- Laptop or desktop computer: 1GB ram & above, 1GHz or faster processor. Please note that due to firewall configurations on corporate laptops, only personal laptops should be used.
- Webcam: able to support minimum of 320 x 240 recording of colourvideo at 15fps
- Speakers
- Microphone (integrated or external)
- Internet connection: Active internet connection with a minimum speed of 512 Kbps
- Operating system: Windows Vista & above / OS X (10.6+)
- Internet Browsers: Google Chrome (78+)/Mozilla Firefox (70+)/Microsoft Edge (44+)

Course Outline
At the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- LO1: Apply the fundamental purposes and applications of IHRP professional Body of Competencies (BOC) at the level of Certified Associates in meeting the performance of the IHRP-CP Assessment
- LO2: Describe major HR operational roles and activities in alignment with IHRP professional Body of Competencies (BOC) – HR Mindsets and Behaviours; HR Functional Competencies & HR Foundation Competencies through case studies discussion (by IHRP-CP certification format)
- LO3: Explain the multidisciplinary nature of HR professionals’ operational responsibilities for developing and implementing HR policies and programmes to deliver HR services and operate the HR function
- LO4: Relate each of those multidisciplinary natures of HR professionals’ operational responsibilities and HR practices to case studies discussions and activities comparable with the format of IHRP-CP certification
- LO5: Acquire related additional HR resources and skills through IHRP’s references and digital skill badges applications
- LO6: Prepare and submit an ongoing Individual Learning and Development Plan or an in-company HR development project
Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
- Official Certification of Attainment from The Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP)
- Participants who have successfully passed the examinations required for IHRP Certified Professional (IHRP-CP) will be awarded with an Official Certification of Attainment from The Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP). Please note that IHRP assessment can only be scheduled 2 weeks later after this course.
- Certificate of completion from NTUC LearningHub
Upon meeting at least 75% attendance and passing the assessment(s), participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub.
