This unit of competency specifies the knowledge, skills and attitudes required of a Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer to create and maintain a workplace safety and health culture based on a common set of attitudes, behaviours, and competencies

Course Objectives
Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Recognise the characteristics and explain the advantages of promoting positive WSH Cultures in Organisation to relevant stakeholders
- Recognise potential barriers to WSH Culture development
- Get the management support on WSH Culture activities
- Support transparent communication and teamwork towards improving organizational WSH
- Explain WSH concerns, success stories and good practices in WSH culture to workers and management
- Execute WSH Programmes includes CultureSAFE Programmes, WSH Campaigns and other encouragement Programmes
- Perceive and record changes in organisational WSH culture development
Pre-requisites
Learners are assumed to:
- Possess ES Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Level 5 or GCE “N” Level English grade 5 & Mathematics grade 5; and
- Possess WSH skills and knowledge equivalent to that of Certificate in WSH and
Have at least 1 year of WSH relevant working experience
