Course Objectives
On completion of this unit, the learner will be able to Identify tools, processes, technologies and team members to deliver results, apply Root Cause Analysis using risk assessment techniques and Failure Mode and Evaluation Analysis, appraise corrective and preventive actions for identified failure modes, develop and execute project plans for solution implementation, optimize improvements through tracking of problems and verifying the effectiveness of measures taken.

- ‘O’ Level educational qualification

– Listening/ Speaking Min. Level 7
– Reading/ Writing Min. Level 7
– Numeracy Min. Level 7
Course Outline
- Identify team members and stakeholders to resolve identified problems.
- Define the process flow of key components of eight disciplines (8D) problem-solving methodology
- Apply Relevant tools, processes and technologies to facilitate problem identification, investigation, analysis and resolution
- Identify the Root cause analysis (RCA) tools
- Conduct RCA by review product and process flow diagrams to locate the root cause of problems
- Identify Risk assessment Techniques
- Perform risk assessment
- Identify Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) process, tools and applications
- Apply FMEA to identify and assess actual and potential failures in product and process designs
- Corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Recommend interim containment actions
- Decide corrective actions for identified failure modes
- Develop execution and project plans for solution implementation
Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
- Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)
- Certificate of completion from NTUC LearningHub
Upon meeting at least 75% attendance and passing the assessment(s), participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub.
