In today’s competitive environment, those working in silos less productive than those in collaborative teams. The goal of a collaborative workplace is to maximize success by administrating an open, communicative and collaborative experience among all members of an organisation.
It is important for individuals to manage relationships and learn to collaborate effectively with others to achieve common goals, this is achieved when individuals seek to understand other’s situations, perspectives, and emotions, fostering team spirit.
This programme has been designed to help individuals upskill and increase knowledge with tools and techniques to contribute to a positive and cooperative working environment by fulfilling own responsibilities, manage interpersonal relations and provide support to others to achieve goal.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to:
- Support individual, teams’ roles and responsibilities with various types of collaborative ideas using the most appropriate tools and platforms.
- Apply techniques and methods to initiate a positive collaborative work approach.
- Evaluate workplace and social etiquette outcomes by the result and performance of the team’s collaboration

This course will be conducted as a Virtual Live Class (VLC) via Zoom platform. Participants must own a zoom account and have a laptop or a desktop with “Zoom Client for Meetings” installed. This can be downloaded from https://zoom.us/download.

Course Outline
LU1: Develop an understanding of effective team collaboration
- Preparation on the roles and responsibilities that will contribute to the greater impact when collaborating at workplace
- Learn various types of collaboration tools and platforms that will enable them to communicate and collaborate in their workplace
LU2: Initiate and influence positive characteristic through workplace collaboration
- Understand behavioural styles, techniques and adapt effective methods to manage difficult or stressful situations when collaborating
- Apply a positive approach to understanding others’ situations, perspectives and emotions
- Acquire the process of collaboration and develop effective teamwork and communication including interpersonal and cross-cultural awareness skills
LU3: Review and reflect on the whole collaboration experience
- Assimilate multiple views to deepen knowledge and critical thinking
- Evaluate results and outcomes of the collaborative experience and seek assistance or feedback from others
Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
- Statement of Attainment from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)
Participants who have successfully demonstrated competence in all the knowledge and skills requirements in this programme will be awarded with a Statement of Attainment (SOA) by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG):
