Course Overview
In the business battlefield today, known as the marketplace, successful business leaders apply Sun Tzu’s strategy and tactics to defeat their competition and win market share. Written more than 2,500 years ago, The Art of War is heralded for its incredibly insightful advice on warfare strategy. Sun Tzu’s teachings have since been applied by business leaders to outsmart their competition.
This programme focuses on teaching learners business management skills by choosing a course of action from several alternatives developed through a structured framework in order to achieve intended goals by executing Sun Tzu’s six principles in processes and strategies with a global preparedness to counter challenges and achieve success.

Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:

- Develop Approaches for Global Trends Impact Analysis
- Identify Business Opportunities and Risk from global trends impact analysis
- Review Organisation Structure and Operating Climate to Build Global Networks
- Prepare Organisation for Interactions with Global Stakeholders
- Promote Diverse and Inclusive Cross Cultural Workplace
- Appraise Global and Local Perspectives for Effective Decision-Making
- Adapt Existing Systems, Processes and Policies to Facilitate Global and Cross-Cultural Cooperation
Pre-requisites
The admission requirements are:
- Read, write, and speak English at WPL Level 7
- Have more than 1 year or more of work experience; and
- Have at least 1 year’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role
- Hardware & Software (if applicable)
- This course will be conducted as a Virtual Live Class (VLC) via Zoom platform.
- Participants must own a Zoom account and have a laptop or a desktop with “Zoom Client for Meetings” installed. Download from zoom.us/download.

- Define Sun Tzu’s 6 principles
- Apply the 6 principles to business management
LU2: Analyse Global Trends
- Understand the impact of a VUCA world to businesses
- Develop a global perspective with Sun Tzu’s 6 principles
- Explore approaches to handle global trends in organisations
- 8-step change management approach
- Understand common business strategies to tackle business challenges like Blue Ocean Strategy, Balanced Scorecard, etc
- Identify opportunities and risks in the business world
LU3: Leverage Organisation for Globalisation
- Analyse challenges of modern businesses
- Apply Sun Tzu’s principles to innovation and collaboration
- Review organisational structure of businesses for effectiveness and efficiency
- PESTLE factors the global market and how to cope with them
LU4: Evolve Organisation for Global Challenges
- Develop an organisational culture to be nimble and adaptable to changing circumstances
- Understand leadership factors in organisational behaviour
- Navigating the Asian business culture
Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
- Upon meeting the attendance and assessment(s) criteria, participants will be awarded with a digital Statement of Attainment (SOA), accredited by SkillsFuture Singapore. SOA will be reflected as Critical Core Skills – Global Perspective CCS-GBP-I001-1.
- Upon meeting the attendance and assessment(s) criteria, participants will be awarded with a digital Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub.
