What's In It for Me

This programme equips learners with the skills and knowledge necessary to analyse global trends and develop sustainable business strategies that align with organisational goals and values. The learning is delivered through a mix of experiential activities including synchronous e-Learning and 3 short project assignments for learners to dive in with a hands-on approach and present on key global sustainability topics such as global sustainability impact analysis, risk assessment and management plan and best practices implementation plan. By the end of the course, learners will be able to evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives, recommend improvements and develop strategies to promote global and cross-cultural cooperation in the workplace.

Course Overview

Sustainability is becoming more important for all companies, across all industries. Sustainability is a business approach to creating long-term value by taking into consideration how an organisation operates in the ecological, social and economic environment and is built on the assumption that developing such strategies foster company longevity. A sustainable business strategy addresses several global challenges, including poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace, and justice, and requires a global perspective to formulate.

This course is designed to help learners develop a global perspective and understand the growing business case for sustainable business solutions; they will then be able to translate this into business strategies and/or sustainability programmes to support the organisation initiatives towards building a sustainable business culture.
