Course Overview
The demographics of the workforce has evolved over the years with millennials, mature workers being re-employed, foreign talents, homemakers re-entering the workforce, career switchers amongst other. This is compounded by hybrid work teams with workers situated in offices and others via virtual platforms. Organisations are faced with immense diversity at the workplace where new practices to promote inclusivity are crucial to encourage team members from different backgrounds to learn and grow together to achieve common goals.
This programme helps understand the interests and characteristics of diverse groups and foster an inclusive work environment appreciating the differences in others.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to:
- Acquire self-awareness concepts to interact with others
- Identify characteristics of diversity and bias when interacting with diverse groups within the organisation.
- Apply fair employment practices in accordance with the organisation's inclusion policies and practices.

This course will be conducted as a Virtual Live Class (VLC) via Zoom platform. Participants must own a zoom account and have a laptop or a desktop with “Zoom Client for Meetings” installed. This can be downloaded from https://zoom.us/download.

Course Outline
LU1: Understand self-awareness concepts
- Provides fundamental knowledge and skills to support diverse perspectives of personal values, beliefs, perceptions and attitudes when interacting with diverse groups.
LU2: Demonstrate understanding of diversity dimensions
- Evaluate own behaviour to be conscious of their unconscious biases.
- Acknowledge diverse perspectives when interacting with diverse teams
LU3: Adopt Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practice
- Adopt fair employment practices and aligned to organisation’s inclusion policies and practices that will build cohesive teams.
Certificate Obtained and Conferred by
- Statement of Attainment from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)
Participants who have successfully demonstrated competence in all the knowledge and skills requirements in this programme will be awarded with a Statement of Attainment (SOA) by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG):
