Driver can now choose to convert their PDVL to TDVL without undergoing the full two-day TDVL course and test again – you can now undergo a shorter 8-hour conversion course and be able to drive both taxi and private hire cars.

Step-by-step guide to convert PDVL to TDVL

Make Sure Your PDVL Is Valid.

Go to GoBusiness Licensing Portal > Login using Singpass, search for “TDVL” under licence application and follow the steps to apply for a TDVL.

Existing PDVL holders (i.e., with valid PDVL). will be charged $30 (instead of $40) at the payment page.

Receive the In-Principle Approval from LTA within 15 working days if all the documents are in order.

Sign up the PDVL to TDVL conversion course with NTUC LearningHub within 4 months and pass the competency test within 1 year from the date of LTA’s in-principle approval letter.
