What does a Digital Marketer do?


As marketing activities progress into the digital space, a Marketing Associate who handles marketing duties on a daily or project basis will also need to be digitally competent and expected to engage more through digital means so as to fulfil his/her job requirements.

Pre-requisites

  • Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents, and holders of Long-term visit Pass-plus (“LTVP+ Holders”) who are aged 21 years old and above
  • Committed to completing the programme
  • Minimum NITEC qualification
Functional / Technical Competencies​

  • Be able to speak, listen, read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 6
  • Basic knowledge and passion for Digital Marketing and creative skill background preferred
  • Basic computer literacy

Total duration: 9 days / 1.5 months

This programme is offered as a full-time programme. Trainees have up to 3 months to complete their chosen programme.

As part of this programme, learners must attend the following courses:
  • Boost your workplace communication skills by evaluating and identifying gaps and barriers in workplace communication.
  • Develop and communicate plans to implement communication strategies.
  • Negotiate for mutually acceptable solutions by all parties using effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Carry out project activities related to game-based marketing efforts to drive customers' engagement and loyalty.
  • Execute tasks in support of SEO tools and techniques for the organisation's digital assets and content across channels.
  • Gain knowledge and abilities in tracking social media activities.
  • Recommend improvements to social media marketing and promotion.
  • Prepare documentation to collate past outcomes of social media marketing activities.
  • Leverage various social networking platforms to deliver the organisation's value propositions and targeted messaging based on real-time customer insights.
  • Cascade social media management strategies aimed at customer acquisition, engagement, loyalty, and conversion via social media platforms.
  • Define metrics and guide the analysis on performance of social media management campaigns to identify opportunities for improvement.

Certifications

Participants will be awarded with a Certificate of Completion from NTUC LearningHub.

*GST payable for all funding-eligible applicants: $84.51 (As per SSG’s policy, the GST payable is calculated based on prevailing rates of 9% after the baseline funding subsidy of 70%)

  1. Base Subsidy - Eligible Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 21 years and above can enjoy subsidies up to 70% of the course fee. 
  2. Mid-career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES) – Eligible Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above can enjoy subsidies up to 90% of the course fee.  
  3. Additional Funding Support (AFS)- Eligible Singapore Citizens that meet at least one of the following eligibility criteria can enjoy subsidies up to 95% of the course fee:
    1. Long-term unemployed individuals (unemployed for six months or more); or
    2. Individuals in need of financial assistance – ComCare Short-to-Medium Term Assistance (SMTA) recipients or workfare Income Supplement (WIS) recipients; or
    3. Persons with Disabilities

Funding Eligibility Criteria

  1. Trainee must be a Singapore Citizen, Singapore Permanent Resident, or LTVP+ Holder aged 21 years old and above
  2. From 1 October 2023, attendance-taking for SkillsFuture Singapore's (SSG) funded courses must be done digitally via the Singpass App. This applies to both physical and synchronous e-learning courses.​
  3. Trainee must achieve at least 75% attendance for each module
  4. Trainee must pass all prescribed tests / assessments and attain 100% competency
  5. NTUC LearningHub reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not meet the eligibility criteria.
